It may not be very well known, but the Pandora hand-held is
now available to pre-order for £200 (current US exchange rate: about $5 million). It boasts hardware on par with the original Xbox as well as the fact that if you buy this, chances are you will never have to pay for software for it.
You see, the whole project is open source. As it stands, Pandora comes with the popular Ubuntu OS and is specifically designed to run free-emulators on free-Linux, using up all of your free-time. Currently the devs say it is able to emulate anything from the PS1 older.
With 2 SD slots you could theoretically have up to 64 Gig of ROMs stashed away in this thing, as well as music/films/other software. I would write more about its excellent features and software, or you could just fap over the picture and read the
wikipedia entry.
Yes, you do want one.

Dammit wardrox, I've been taunting myself that I would to get one of the first batch since the pre orders were announced, and now i'm being taunted here, having a lack of money sucks, I can't wait until the next batch
Wouldn't it be more like a GBA SP on roids?? Also, do want!!
I'm actually thinking about getting this :).
Buy me it.
Thinking hard about it, having something like that for movies would be freaking epic.
Never mind, site's been annihilated. No way in hell of getting a pre-order unless you were waiting for this obsessively.
Dang, where am I gonna come up with 200 cursive L's?
You had me until you mentioned the price and Ubuntu.
Also, with the (current) exchange rate, this puts the Pandora at about $300 USD, the price of a Pro model 360.
If only money grew on trees.
I have a GP2X, a very early one, and that thing is awesome.
This is in the pile of do want.
(pandora does not come with Ubuntu, I'm pretty sure, but it does run on it)
You could almost buy two 360s for that price!

Too bad I don't have any money
200 quid? That's like a gajillion Amerika Dollars! ;_; Do waaaaant.
How are you supposed to play games on it if it's Linux-based?
Oh, and it's SDHC too! <3
Not to sound too pessimistic, but I'm very curious what the battery life on that is.
I actually think I'm just about to buy this.
I will report back.
I'd like to get one, but the thing looks to damn awkward to hold.
@ScottyG
Battery life is around 10 hours from what I know.
there is also this thing, which looks pretty rad for nes/snes/gba/genesis/etc type games.
