 My god that took a while. Finally, after weeks of slogging it out, I had a solid 3 hour sitting with the game this morning and got it finished. Oddly though, I didn't realise I was at the end of the story until the very final cut scene. I guess "game progress" includes killing 200 pidgins. All in all, the game is good. No 10/10, I would say more of an 8/10, but then I am a fanboy and bad a games etc. After reading Rev's great deconstruction of GTA's ending I can't help but feel a little disappointed. I got the lesser cool ending, what with me being a revenge seeking killing machine (the guy was a dick, and I already had more money than I needed). Had I got the cooler ending, I might have actually cared. So, what's the first thing a gamer like me does on completion of one of the greatest games of the year? Continue and strive for 100%? Ha! God no. Now the story is done with I can happily go without bad driving, questionable combat and incredibly annoying and inconvenient police for a while. I went out and bought myself Motor Storm and Ridge Racer. Aaah, the good old days, when games were fun and realism was measured in... well, it just didn't factor into it. Also, after many weeks, and a solid 2 days of drinking (followed by a 2 day hangover) my exams are done with... woot!

Exams over?? Wheeeeey! Uni exams - bad. Mine have also finished. I can appreciate the sense of freedom. Much more time for drinking...and gaming of course.
I can say for certain that I don't like the new driving mechanics. I don't care if they made it "more realistic," they made it less fun.
Kidding.
Also, you might want to check out Bladestorm. It's basically the Dynasty Warriors formula applied to the "100 year war."
It's also the least realistic game you'll ever play.
