As I wonder around London this morning, blurey eyed and cold, I came upon EA's takeover of Trafalgar Square. The Be The One event looks to be a big push by EA to boost their sales in the run up to xmas.
Games at the event: - Need For Speed™ ProStreet - The Simpsons™ Game - Rock Band™ - Burnout Paradise - The Sims™ 2 Castaway - Generic Sports Game '08 The whole thing looks very expencive. Two giant screens facing each other across the main square, with a plethora of booths filled with DSs, blurayz and 360s being constructed around the perimeter leed tor a very excitable me. However, I am preparing myself for the realization that the closest I'm going to get to a hands on with Rock Band will be watching some 12 year old tw*t making a hash of it on a big screen. These are just a few snaps I took whilst wondering round, I'll be heading back this afternoon to try and get my dirty hands on Rock Band, or for that matter any other game. From the site: "Visiting gamers will also be able to take part in live challenges against other players – or against celebrity guests from the worlds of showbiz, music, entertainment and sports." If Jade Goody isn't there, I will be dissapointed. [update] Damn, my camera appears to have taken life size pictures.
