Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
Bummer.
Nintendo published it for N64, so they technically own the rights to the game, while Rare likely owns the code. Microsoft owns Rare, so MS owns the code. Sony owns the Bond license, so they have final say on whether or not, and how much it costs, to put Bond in a new game. So once we can get all three of them to agree on how much it'll cost to get it done, it won't happen.
that sentence was perfectly valid, because once a cost is settled on Microsoft won't want to do it.
So it would actually hafta be an agreement between MS, Activision, and Nintendo.
Whoever hasta decide, though, doesn't matter. It likely will not happen.
Either way, I think that if Goldeneye or Perfect Dark were released, people would end up disappointed, because frankly, the games haven't aged well. (FPS games rarely do, in my opinion.) I tried playing Goldeneye multiplayer at a friend's house over three years ago, and I was surprised at how archaic and outdated it was. I remember loving it when it was new, but frankly, it's been done better.
