About Me
I am also a contributer on Damnlag dot com. You can read my column, Broken Pixels and check out all the other great stuff we've got going on there. Just remember to wear pants.

Anyway, about me...

My name is Jack Ninivaggi AKA Wandering Pixel, and I'm here to rock your world! Or at least cause some sort of tremor.

I live over on the east coast in New Jersey. My favorite types of games are those that have great writing. I'm going to college right now and plan on majoring in either communications or literature. When I'm not playing games I'm either reading a book or comic, watching a movie or sleeping. I'm a huge fan of animation and my favorite thing to do is watch old animated films, I'm also a theater geek, and frequently make trips to New York to watch the latest musicals and plays on Broadway. one day I plan on making a living by writing, though I haven't yet decided what kind of writing I want to do. Anyway, this is my blog. Enjoy!

You can contact me at jackninivaggi@yahoo.com

I also have a Facebook you can check out here.

This is my interview, which was conducted by the oh so sexy LawofThermalDynamics.

The difference between a good game and a great game can come down to the smallest details. Some of those seemingly “inconsequential” things that games do can be the deciding factor in my purchasing decisions. Here are a few…

Slow Running Speeds – Maybe I’m just impatient, but if it takes a half-hour to get from point A to point B, then there is something wrong.

Inaccurate Aiming Reticules – See that dot? That’s where the bullet is supposed to go. Do it.

Poor Lip Syncing – When I played The Chronicles of Narnia the game, I thought I was playing the video game adaptation of Children of the Corn.

No Subtitles – Dear Bungie; WTF is the Arbiter saying!?

Looonnnggg Cut Scenes – Your not Hideo Kojima, get over it.

Annoying Kids Online – The mute button. Gods way of saying STFU!

Interactive Cut Scenes – Wow. I had no idea that Lavess was Kit’s fath- OH SHIT! ‘A’ BUTTON! ‘A’ BUTTON!

Internet Speak – r u going 2 teh prty fri??? I ws ask by jul 2 go LOL!!!:D [Sighs].

Crappy D-Pads – [Stares angrily at Xbox].

‘Rubbber’ Rag Doll Physics – Dead bodies shouldn’t do summersaults.

Not Seeing My Lower Body In First Person – Alright then, let me see if there is any ammo on the floor… HOLY SHIT! Where are my legs!?

QTEs – A, B, X, DAMN! A, B, Y, A, DAMN! A, B, Y, B, X, DAMN! A, B, Y, B, A, A, DAMN! A, B, Y, B, A, X, Y, DAMN!

Drab Color Palette – Killzone 2’s battlefield makes the city in Seven look like Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory.

Microsoft’s Point System – 1200 MP = 19.99. 800 MP = 9.99. 6000 MP = 99.99. Huh?

Motion Control – I only perform repetitive motions with my hand once or twice a day, and it’s not for games.

Long Ending Credit Sequences – What the hell does a video game “ second unit prop handler” do anyway?

Is this post awesome? Vote it up!

Finally! Someone who agrees that these piss-poor ragdoll physics we're seeing in games nowadays are, well, piss-poor.

Anyway, I'll sum it up with a /agreed.

Good list!
(though personally I love the ragdoll physics in Warhawk... there's nothing quite like seeing your body fly 30 feet in the air when hit by a TOW missile or see it bouncing down a cliff, or hit someone with the jeep and see their body flop around... it adds to the over-the-top charm of a game where you can drive your jeep off the edge of a cliff, roll a few times and keep driving!)

in adventure games it should make you go faster to jump everywhere. it should go even just a little bit faster than the run speed. thats just how it has to be.
