I am a 34 year old cubicle monkey living in Austin, TX. with my lovely wife of 2 years, Dawn. And yes, we are acutely aware of the cheesiness of the rhyme scheme. And no, it doesn't bother us when people make fun of us for being so saccharine, because we are both huge dorks in our spare time. Being happy in life gives your character +1 million XP towards the "not caring about other people's opinions" skill.

My intention was to have a contest entry up for your perusal today. Unfortunately, my lappy's webcam is woefully inadequate for capturing video, and I could not obtain a suitable device in time. Needless to say, I'm a bit disappointed at the moment. My goal was to present a series of puns describing why I should win the contest, seeing as how puns are the highest form of art currently known to humanity. I wrote 20 puns a day for the last 5 days. So that all the work I put in over the last week doesn't go to waste, here are the best (by which I mean worst) 10 groups of puns that came out of my writing sessions. Prepare for the PAIN! Metal Gear Solid -- I'll never let my mind wander on the job there when I Otacon-centrate. Fallout 3 -- I will dress professionally, including wearing a belt to keep my pants up by my Wasteland. Mass Effect 2 -- If elected by you, I will work to make sure your Miranda rights don't get Chuck-ed out the window. BioShock -- I also promise to leave pretentious objectivism well apart from my coverage, and Ayn Rand, (sung like Flock of Seagulls) Ayn Rand -- so far aw-a-a-ay. Borderlands -- I am an active volunteer, as well as a regular donator at the local hospital's Bloodwing. Persona 4 -- Frankly, I'd go there Inaba-lloon if I had to! Final Fantasy -- I can't speak for everyone, but I'd bet even a little spending cash would be enough to Tidus over. Especially for those attending Yuna-versity. Now, I hate to put a Cloud over the proceedings, but if you don't choose me I don't think I could Barrett. Escape From Butcher Bay -- C'mon people, I'm subjecting myself to possible Riddick-cule here; don't leave me in the Pitch Black. Assassin's Creed 2 -- I will either debunk the rumor that Wesley Snipes will be at PAX East, or acquire pictures of the Hidden Blade. Dragon Age -- Wait a minute - what's that you say Niero? This pun spiel is beginning to. . . drag-on? Very well, then, I shall scale back my efforts, although I personally thought that I was spitting hot fire. Next contest, I will address my technical issues before putting energy into the creative side, but I'm not too worried. I'll still be there in Boston to visit with those of you going, and there are a lot of great Dtoiders with awesome videos submitted who totally deserve to win this trip!
