Some of my favorites, in totally random order These games all made a lasting impression on me in some way. I'm sure I forgot a million, I'll add more as I remember them. For games with multiple versions, I list the versions that I like. For example, "Bionic Commando (NES/Famicom)" - in other words, NOT the arcade version (which isn't nearly as good). Also, I sometimes include the Japanese title as well, listed after the USA release title.

Do you agree with any? Disagree with any?

Some of these are underground/underdog/obscure titles that are nevertheless great games.

Actually, I like a ton of these games...

What is Heavy Nova? Is it anything like Hard Nova (PC)? I loved Hard Nova. :P

I notice that RPG-wise, you typically go for action-RPGs...no love for Ys 3? :P I think Ys 3 is probably one of the best action-RPGs around. :)
Jay I love lists <3
is your entire blog the exact same list that is on the column to the right?

Is that awesome?
You know what is awesome? This guy's friends list. Also, SR388. But seriously, look at that friends list! It's huge!
A list without Chrono Trigger is no list at all, sir!
seconded aerox.
i'm just going to assume you put gtaIV on that list somewhere.
Aerox, Chrono Trigger is an awesome game, and I played it a lot when it came out, but this is a personal list, not an attempt to put every awesome game ever on the list. Otherwise more Zelda games etc would be on here. But for me personally, Zelda 2 is the one that really played a big part in my life, so I picked it.

Similarly, Phantasy Star 1 & 2 are awesome games, but IV is the one I love the most.
NegFactor:

I like Y's 3, but you'll notice I have Y's Book I & II on the list, because that's by far my favorite in the series.
RE: hood:

A quick glance at my list will reveal that I'm more interested in pre-PSX games.
No Earthbound or Phoenix Wright *shakes fist* besides that, good list!
@Dexter345 -- What's awesome is that I'm actually on someone's friends list! I think he might be the only person to have listed me as a friend. :P
I'm just a friendly kind of guy! ROFL
RE: Scary Womanizer:

I haven't played either of those, so I can't comment on them.
Its nice to see Cave story getting some recognition :)
