That's me. I really like zombie stuff, pretty much every type of video game, drawing things (It's been like six months), play music in a band, and am a geek. Very much so, in fact. Also, I drew the Maxx that I'm using in my header. It's going to stay there until I hit some inspiration for some video game artwork.

My job is to make the computers and electronics at my work rise again from the dead. It's alright, as jobs go. Of course, since I'm heavily into computers, I either have or have had every major type of personal computer known to man... so if you ever want to discuss computer things, I can probably have a lengthy conversation about it.

I live in the mostly sunny Central Florida, and have for about 16 years now. I'm pretty sure I'm too old to be playing games anymore, but I really don't see that ending any time soon and hope it never will.

I have a gaming PC (C2D E6550 2.33Ghz/8800GTS 512), PS2, Dreamcast, N64, DS, PSP, Xbox 360 and PS3, but I have owned an Odyssey2, Aquarius, ColecoVision, NES, SNES, Genesis, GameBoy (as well as Advance and SP), PS1, Xbox, and a Wii as well. They've all either been broken, sold, or have been grudgingly traded in for the "next best thing" due to lack of funds to buy them outright.

I read fanatically, and even though I have plenty of different books there are several that are read over and over again. Pretty much anything that William Gibson or Terry Pratchett have done are my favorites, but there are plenty of writers that still get my attention. To be certain, I'm happy Rhianna Pratchett is writing for videogames.

So... Microsoft. I love you, guys... but there's was a problem when I went to GameStop. In talking with the four employees that were there, I found that ALL of them had suffered the horrible fate of those who have chosen to cast in with your poorly designed product, some several times. Not to mention several friends have had to send theirs in. Admittedly, you've got a good warranty for it. But I swear to god I hate you for making my first play of GTA 4 a sour memory.

For this:

This is bad as well, and total hearsay so I took it with a grain of salt, but the manager for GameStop seriously thinks that they're doing nothing but replacing the warped parts with new ones and sending them back out. Otherwise my "MS refurbished" one never would have danced with the devil. He's already had a big number of them come back at various points in the past year.

Yes. I decided to get the PS3. Wish I could have afforded the MGS4 bundle one, because I do want the PS2 compatibility. Instead I opted for the 40GB and after trading in the Wii, accursed device that it was, I was able to pick up GTA IV so I can bloody finish the thing since my 360 crapped out about 6 hours in, game play wise. Plus, the guy at GS actually told me to take advantage of their 7 day used game trade thingy. So if I finish it fast I can take it back and get MGS 4. Admittedly, though... I really want to play the multi-player on GTA IV.

Plus, I figure I can pick up a PS2 for about the price of a PS3 game. Not quite as big a decision as a full fledged current gen console.

Maybe if they come out with some magical new 360 that's been redesigned I'll get one to add to having the PS3. But too many of the games for the 360 come out for the PC eventually anyway for me to truly be sad. Perhaps I will borrow a friends' 360 when Fable 2 comes out.

I'm saving to get one soon, I just got an elite a couple of months ago. I was real torn at which one to get, but there was just alot of games I wanted on the 360. Either way good purchase.

Note: Been playing GTA IV for a few hours now, and the anti-aliasing was better on the 360, so sadness on that count, but the performance is about the same and for some reason it's easier to drive on the PS3 version.

Congrats... me and you are in the same boat. I just left a huge comment on your last post before seeing this one.

I too used to own (many of) a 360... got sick of their crap machine and bought a PS3. Have yet to have a problem...

Nice and quiet running machine isnt it?

Dont forget about all the nice added features like a web browser.. and being able to download user created (as well as make your own) XMB themes... for free. You can download the themes right from the PS3's web browser.

Happy Playing... add me on PSN.

@Dephect: Adding you in a minute, and to tell you the truth I love the Eee PC. It really is about as fast as my last laptop for all the normal stuff like browsing and video and it's freaking tiny. I got the 20GB version and just installed XP because I needed the ease of use, but if it's just for browsing, mail, and IM the default Linux is great (can be turned on to an advanced mode) and is, of course, virus free.

Definitely quieter than my 360 was, and it will allow me to connect my PSP for remote play and stuff so that will be nice, including automatically downloading demos and stuff.

@DynamicSheep: Thank you, and I will definitely enjoy it. :)
