Beyond Good and Evil is one of the most overlooked classic's of the decade. Despite good critic reception, it didn't sell. Why? Because of poor marketing. It was released in a swamp of other games, like the original reboot of Prince of Persia, along with several proven sequels. Is it worth going back to play? Undoubtedly yes. Graphics were great for the time, and it still doesn't look too outdated, plus all of the art and the environments are beautiful. The original was a tale of Friendship, and courage. I thought one intriguing aspect was the camera. It was a great way to make money in the game, and it was one thing that broke up the gameplay from time to time, and when you got the perfect picture, you smiled. The story was brilliantly executed, leading you to genuinely care about each of the core characters, so when they got hurt, even if they were a little wonky. We saw a great ending, with space for a sequel.
Earlier this year, footage was leaked from the game, and the developer's said while it's being developed right now, it may never be released. However, as one of the gamers that played the original, I must say that we want it. I think one of the major problems was a lack of marketing. There have been research findings popping up that good marketing is what a game needs, and if the original had done just as well as Prince of Persia, we might have had the conclusion to the story by now. But as is, all I know is DO WANT.
Here is the leaked footage if you hadn't seen it already:

A lot of people who heard good things about it had to have picked it up, hopefully this will generate some buzz for the sequel and put some fire under the developers asses.
