What the fuck? Those are the words I yelled out when my Rock Band froze mid-song. "Disc read error?" I just got this game. How do I have a disc-read error? Shit, it must be that other XBOX killer. You know, shit disc drives dying on people? Nope. I popped in my copy of Orange Box and it worked like a charm. No hiccups, no slow downs, or freezes. It was all good and dandy.

So I scratch my head. "Maybe my disc is defective or something. Great, now I'm going to have to deal with EA or Gamestop." I flip the disc around and there it is. A ring. No, not a red ring, but a ring of scratches. "What the fuck is this?"

I know you guys can understand my anger. The rage that just makes me want to slam a kitten into a wall. I just payed $170 plus tax to experience this wonderful game, and my XBOX realizes that I'm too happy.

The game is working at the momment, but I don't know how much longer it will last. Whose going to pay me back for this? A damaged disc? Is Microsoft going to re-buy Rock Band for me? Is Microsoft going to fix my XBOX? Chances is are neither of these things will happen.

So I'm stuck with a 360 that will eat my discs. I'd buy a PS3 to spite them but I think it'd hurt me in the long run. Money wise and boredom wise. Don't take it personally but the games on PS3 don't appeal to me.

Well. It's time to deal with customer support. Wish me luck fellow D'toiders.

In the event that Microsoft customer support is their usual non-help way, does anyone know a n00b method of fixing this? And now my XBOX is not sitting upright and no I never move it while it's on or while there's a disc in it.
