One of the next batch of (most likely overpriced) DLC maps for Halo 3 has been revealed by Bungie. The map is called Ghost Town. The map was originally reffered to as "O.K. Coral." and is an asymmetric map designed for 4 on 4 battles. So basically it's another mid-sizer.
Visually the map is pretty beautiful. You can't really tell from pictures how it's going to work gameplay wise, but I have faith in Bungie that they'll work out fine. Hopefully this and the new patch will renew my enjoyment of Halo. It's really been getting to the point where I'm just like, "meh, I'll play Rock Band or Forza instead."
There do seem to be a couple of hiding spots and I really am enjoying the look if this map. It's based off the Sierra 117 singe player level so it takes place in Africa. Like most maps on Halo games, they have to reminisce of the single player experience. At least that's what I heard somewhere.
I'm sure people have already made up their minds whether they're buying these or not. I haven't. I tried telling myself that $10 was an O.K. price for the last map pack but I can't fool myself any longer. Those maps were not worth the price and I do hope they do something special for these. I'm not saying I'm not paying for the next batch, but I'm not saying I am. If it's my money they're after I'm sure they can squeeze $10 out of me for 3 maps but I need some innovation instead of just new terrain. Let me see something I haven't seen yet. A destroyed building in the middle of the jungle is good and pretty, but it's just a destroyed building in the middle of the jungle. If they can further evolve the forge level design tools with a new map, then I'm all for it.

It's too bad I'm too lazy to resize them in photoshop and not in photobucket.
I don't know if Halo 3 feels like a game that needs to be on PC. It's paced and created specifically for consoles.
Also, Microsoft owns Halo 3 so they probably would have to port it over to Vista.
And MS still owns Bungie, all Bungie was a create studio that allows to be their entity but MS still has first dibs on everything.
