Post a picture of your current gaming setup
vampireblood | 9:54 PM on 11.24.2007 26 comments

Since I'm bored and have nothing else to do I thought I'd make a post about gaming setups.

This has probably been done already on Destructoid but just for those newcomers.

I want to see pictures of Your gaming setups! Please post a link to a photo or embed one!

Here's Mine:

What I like most about my setup is probably the ability to switch between PC and Xbox 360 on the fly, surf the internet etc and switch with the touch of a button.

What I don't like is since I'm so close to the Xbox 360 you really get to know how fricking loud the machine is (with a game in) because on idle the noise isn't so bad yet once a game starts spinning up its a turbine engine! Microsoft should give us the option to sacrifice slower loading speeds for less noise because reading a game at 4X speed on a hacked Xbox 360 makes it FAR less noisy!

Whats next for my setup? Well I'm thinking about buying a 24" Dell monitor and running Split screen with the 22" Samsung. So I can have Xbox 360 on one monitor and PC on the other and change between them to Dual PC etc.

Anyway please post your gaming setup pics, I like to see what everyone else is using.

Oh and the headcrab toy keeps my Xbox 360 from Red Ringing! Because of its holy nature of awesomeness made from Valve

Oh I should preface that with, its not my complete gaming center...i'm living in an apartment where I don't have enough room to go all out geek on it. You can see my game collection here.

No digi cam atm but my setup is almost identical to yours, vampireblood. Only real difference is that I rock a TV beside my HD monitor for the times where I want to watch something on the PC while gaming.

Harknett just use a Cell Phone camera or something there must be a way to get a photograph of it.

Use your mind and digitally transmit what you see into the computer world.

Imagine and Sandwich your face between two scanners and something might happen! :S

Excremento's rig should be declared holy ground. It is awe-inspiring.

I'll go take a picture of mine, but I'll probably get distracted.

That also includes the whole 5.1 Dolby and DTS setup, which is below the picture, right under the equalizer. 360 on the left, Wii in the middle, PS3 on the right. DVD-RW on the left under the 360 and VCR, yadayada

I'm super cereal about my gaming guys, that photo is about 4 months old when I picked up my new tv. Needless to say, the landscape has definitely changed.

I'd post a photo of my gaming setup, except the entire room is dedicated to gaming and entertainment, and I don't have a lens that wide. No seriously, I don't care what anyone else can boast, I'm fairly certain my home theatre system will make anything as common as a flat screen LCD television (even a _really_ big one) seem pitiful by comparison. I'm not even being a dick (okay, maybe a bit), it's just that few people are willing to spend as much as I have on media recreation. Actually, I should take several photos, I'll post them tomorrow if I can. It's truly jaw-dropping incredible, trust me. I had some pretty big dreams turning this one room into a haven for everything I enjoy, and I managed to have them all realized.

I should mention that my girlfriend is very wealthy and owns two sharp aquos televisions that I game on quite regularly. She also has the guitar hero games and rockband, which are noticibly absent from my collection. Lucky for me she'll be moving in with me sometime in '08. =)

Well then, show us your rig tommorow Lord Satorious. Being a family man, I can no longer devote an entire room to schwag and posters, collectibles, stuff like that. I just buy regular editions of games and all that. As it is, I'm perfectly happy with my 48 inch Sony. Sure, it's only 720p/1080i, but it's all good. I would love to upgrade my reciever to 7.1 so perhaps when I get my tax return I will buy one, plus all new speakers and a sub. I have a Bose center, to Bose for surround, and then 2 Infinity for the Front. As for the sub, it's Yamaha. I like their subwoofers. The only thing is that they are kind of old, like 3 or 4 years now.
