By the time you read this you'll probably have seen the trailer for the Max Payne movie which is coming out.

Also have you finished Max Payne 1 and 2?

Some of the best third person games with quite possibly the best narrative style.

Recently I've reinstalled the game and after this blog post I'm going to kill some thugs. MP2's ending on hardest difficulty was the best BTW. I really miss games which reward the player with a different ending depending on difficulty setting.

I love the whole Marky Mark aspect of it...but it just still doesn't look that great. Maybe another trailer oughta do it.

The games were great, although looking back the gameplay and graphics were terrible. This movie could be good. Let's hope they don't fuck up too much.

I dunno, i loved the max payne games and still want a 3rd game in the series. but walbergs performance in the hapening sucked, and video game movies rarely are any good.
gotta wait for future trailers to be sure

uhh, i only played MP1. wtf is with these angels and deamons?
all i remember is that payne had one really bad trip in the game.

I played the demo for one, can't evan remember witch one.

The movie looks pretty good though.

Dude I went back and played 1 and 2

Cranking up the AA to 8X and AS to 16X the game looks great.

I'm only runing on a 22" LCD but I can see the visuals looking good on a 24"+

This game has stood the test of time VERY well. I know many games of the same year which even with graphics settings cranked on overdriver they look god awful.

I think your standards are to high. It's not going to be HD textures and HD goodness that games like Mass effect and Crysis Bring but there still good enough.

I'll admit that I have high standards, but I will also admit that I may be being a little harsh. The games had an amazing level of detail. Bullet shells and empty clips would remain on the floor and you could actually see bullets flying through the air. I just think the games were a little ugly and there weren't as many character animations as I would have liked. Also, I had the PS2 versions, but I don't think that really makes a difference.

Higher resolution textures for this current-gen games and previous gen games.

It's pretty common knowledge that the PS2 version was a horrible, shitty port of the game so it does make a difference :P

From the Gamespot review: "While the PS2 version basically features the same content as the original PC version, it's filled with terribly blurry, downright ugly textures and serious frame rate issues, and it's missing sound effects."

I loved the games. And I'm also wondering what the hell those demon type things are. Are they supposed to be "death" when he's killing people or something? I have no idea.
