Darksiders. It's definitely a Zelda clone, to a degree. There is definitely a strong RPG feel to this game, but it also has a very strong hack n slash element as well. The story is good, the voice acting is pretty great, the graphics are nice and the story is fairly long.
My one complaint about Darksiders has to be the puzzles. At first they're pretty basic and few and far between, however that changes once you get towards the end of the story. I actually quit playing Darksiders for a few months because of a certain puzzle area towards the end of the game.
My suggestion to you, if you do go with Darksiders is to use a guide or walkthrough, especially if you're just looking to plow through it.

Fallout New Vegas... I'm just glad I picked this game up for $20.00. It's fun - but like yourself (and many others) it just becomes a bit boring after awhile and may never get finished.
No suggestions from me.. like yourself I too have a backlog of half finished games or ones I haven't started - but I tend to get stuck on an online game and play it to death (literally.... till it dies!). Still on MAG, and still looking for a replacement game, but in the interim I may have to finish off some of the single player games I've either half finished or haven't started! :(
... and like yourself, I'm already doing up my Christmas list! LOL!

ONLY play Deadly Premonition IF YOU HAVE A FRIEND! It's an experiance to be enjoyed with an atmosphere of hilarious mocking. The game itself is quite fun, but do not attempt to play it alone, you will not enjoy it as much.
HEY I HEARD IF YOU PLAY DARKSIDERS AND DRINK A GALLON OF SUNNY D WHILE LISTENING TO DISTURBED THEN YOUR DAD WONT LEAVE YOUR MOM.
Nier, far, wherever you are.
It should keep you engaged if you gloss over the side missions, you don’t really need to do any of them anyway.

Half-life 2. I am at the end. Like the very last part of the very last level. Just haven't geared up for the final push for whatever reason.
Deadly Premonition. Your fault for mentioning you own it.
I think I'm going to start a thing where people send me a game in their backlog. I beat it, tell you about it and send it back. Win-Win-Win.
Also, although I may get e-shot, I must admit I played Darksiders for a half an hour and said, "Fuck this piece of shit." True story.

Whoops...wrong thread. Sorry man.
Per this thread: Shadow of the Colossus. I suppose there's an insurmountable amount of hype surrounding it at this point, but it really is an amazing game. Whether or not you want to wait really depends on how much of a stickler for HD you are.

Hum, I see a fight-pad and a copy of Blazblue, seems like a good idea to me.
But fine, if you want my opinon on the games you LISTED I'd say you should get back into Fallout:New Vegas. Its an amazing game with lots to do.

Well, I would say Shadow of the Colossus, but I guess if you're planning to get the HD rerelease, you could very well wait to play it if you wanted to.
Other than that, I'd have to pick Metal Arms. It's not really a game I'd recommend to everyone though, and I'm not really sure what types of games you like, but it's one that I'm rather fond of myself.

Sadly the only one out of that list I can recommend is Deadly Premonition. Well, I could recommend Nier....except I didn't like it.
@Wrenchfarm
That fightpad's just a backup. I do all my fightans on a custom-modded Madcatz SE stick. :D
@bbain
I think Metal Arms would be my kind of game, it just falls under that stigma of "Do I really wanna play a last-gen title", because I'm stupid like that. Will definitely give it an honest effort though!
@Occams
WHERE WAS YOUR SAGE ADVICE WHEN I WAS EIGHT YEARS OLD!? (True story bro.)
@Elsa
Speaking of MAG and stuff, I'll soon have a PS3. Will you be my cyber-mother and let me ride your backpack while I bring the whole team down in various multiplayer FPS games?
@Everyone else
Looks like I'll be playing Darksiders then! Deadly Premonition will definitely follow that. Totally.

Still have to pick up Nier, but no start on Deadly Premonition is terrible and should be remedied soon. Though, I wonder how it'll fare with all that's been said. It'll be interesting to see how someone reacts to the game long after the hype.
Where are you in Fallout: New Vegas in relation to the main quest?
It gets pretty interesting once you find Benny and the factions start asking for your services. I like how the pressure piles on in quick succession. It was nice change of pace, plus, it gives you plenty of chances to be a back stabbing git.

Is it wrong to make a choice without having played it? Like telling you to play Shadow of the colossus. I didn't play it, but other people liked it, it should be good. Nah, it's stupid.
Except Darksiders, I didn't play any of those. Wasn't my jam. Nothing enticed me about this game, and I love Zelda.

Holy shhhhh didn't realize you already wrote this! I'm definitely going to vote for Darksiders because if Occams tweets are any indication it's the original game to the most provocative sequel nay game of 2011/12
