How much this news will excite you may vary depending on whether or not you play the paper card game, but I think it's pretty awesome either way. Duels of the Planeswalkers will be 800 MSP ($10), which is a lot cheaper than I expected. Especially considering you get a promo Garruk Wildspeaker card, which would cost you anywhere from $15-$20 if you bought a normal one. I'm very much looking forward to this game and I hope some of you are, too, as I would love to play Magic with my Dtoid buddies. It looks a little dumbed down from the real game (which is to be expected; they don't want to take any steam away from Magic Online), but still a lot of fun. Hopefully I'll be able to put it down long enough when it releases to write a review or something.

Also, I freaking love your header. :D
I've actually been playing that old Xbox one and loving it. It's not much of a Magic game, but I love crossing the middle and smacking my opponent's face with my staff. It's kinda like Volleyball with Magic spells.
Eh not sure, I think that's a new gameplay element in the latest set as those aren't on my set cards I bought last year... Guess I'll find out, this is day one purchase for me, $10 is a good deal for some descent online magic games.
Essentially, you play a Planeswalker and it gets a number of loyalty counters equal to the number in the bottom corner of the card. Each turn, you can play one of its abilities, which will add or subtract that many loyalty counters from its current total. When all of its counters run out, it dies.
They might look pretty broken at first glance, but your opponent card attack them as though they were another player and deal damage in the same way. Still, some of them are pretty damn nice. Here's all the Planeswalkers currently printed (I can't link because of the brackets in the URL):

Also, seconded on the header, it's just epic.
Racist. How do you live with yourself?!
