Hell, you can even play other games while playing it! It's like folding@home without all that shitty betterment of humankind nonsense!
It's impossible to hate on Progress Quest because it states right on the box what it's good for--absolutely nothing. It eats resources but doesn't bloat, and there's no point. And like Challenger said, no one benefits from your wasted CPU usage. Super win!
I need to start playing it again.
the most interesting thing I found about Progress Quest when I played it was that it was just as fun leveling up and getting new spells and items in that game as it was playing an actually interactive MMO. For me it really exposed how much of the 'satisfaction' of playing that sort of game can just be smoke and mirrors.
