About Me
I am totally hardcore. I am more hardcore than you and your face. I am named Jordan. I am a guy. I am 21 years of age. I live in the place one might call Australia. I have a crappy journalism degree and I cant get a job!
When people see me on the street they all say “Wow, isn’t he hardcore!” How hardcore is that? Pretty hardcore, you might say. Well, that’s just the beginning of my corehardiness.
I once shat a Gameboy. I discovered penecillin. I once made a Link costume out of cardboard and then posted it on the internet (but that latter part wasn’t my idea)! I tell people stories about Shigeru Miyamoto. I play way too much Warcraft. I like shorts, they are comfy and easy to wear! I played MGS2 on European Extreme once. I have a Megaman 2 ringtone. I hate EA. I own a Nintendo Power T-Shirt. I once was talked like Strongbad for so long my larynx collapsed. I like complaining. I like writing. I like writing and complaining. I like writing and complaining on Destructoid. I have a dog with a fluffy tail. I think that it is politically correct and justified to call midgets "fun-size". I am addicted to cola. I am kept up at night by dreams of cats in top hats. I think that BF1942 is the best game ever. I can reticulate splines, whatever they are. I can jump; 1, 2, 3! I like movies but I hate TV. I think the internet is better than sliced bread. I have a friend whose girlfriend maxed the score on Lumines!
I am totally hardcore.

I'm not sure if this is a joke or even a Microsoft product, seeing as I dont speak Japanese. Regardless, it still amuses me somewhat.

Yeah, after using Vista for a few weeks, I decided to give Ubuntu a try and have never looked back. New OSs are supposed to make people want their product, not convert to another brand cuz its so bad. Good job MS!!

By the way, I was never a Linux user since it seemed very user unfriendly, but Ubuntu is quite nice and runs a hell of alot faster imo. If you arent likin Vista and dont do much gaming on the PC, I suggest giving Ubuntu a try!

I actually chained my copy of Vista and casted some barrier spells on it before sending it to a far off dungeon never to be seen again... until an adventurer wanders upon it by happenstance.

Windows 2000 = 70 MB of RAM used to get to desktop after a fresh install

Vista = 650-700 MB of RAM used to get to desktop after a fresh install

I think that says a ton about what a bloated piece of shit Vista is. The toilet paper is so very appropriate.

Although I am not ready to throw on my Steve Jobs membership jacket and pledge pin, I do agree that Vista is just totally wrong. What I don't understand is how it installed and ran just fine on my last PC and then I built a new one and put Vista on there and it won't even run.

I love Vista. In the past I've used several versions of Linux, they were fun but didn't provide what I was looking for when it came to gaming. About two months ago I switched from XP to Vista and haven't looked back.

Sure, it took me about a week to figure everything out, but that's to be expected when using a new operating system. I haven't noticed any performance problems (I can run the most current games wonderfully). The only difficulty I've had is trying to get older games like Fallout to run on it and even then it only took me about ten minutes of searching online to find a solution.

Hmm. Keep in mind that when Windows 2000 came out most systems bought from a place like walmart didn't come with 2-3 gigs of RAM like they do now. It's perspective. It reminds me of when old men say new cars are "trash" because their old cars didn't need any "fancy computers" to run. The standard has changed along with the available technology.

Having only used a beta of Vista I dont understand whats so bad about it, I mean new problems, not the old ones we already know from xp (I use leopard and Windows and every os has its pros and cons but the experience on leopard is simply more stable than xps imo)

I'm not even gonna try to get Vista until I absolutely have to.

Luckily, this isn't the type of site where people will break out into Mac vs. Windows vs. Linux arguments at the drop of a pin.

...right?
