Let's get down to business. I'm working on my last feature for my college paper, The Oak Leaf. This is a very sad thing for me, as it is the very last: videogame column I will write for the publication; the last article I will write for The Oak Leaf; and the last article I will be writing as Co-Editor in Chief. I've had a good run, but I'm tired and I need to get ready for my transfer of schools this fall.
Anyway, this feature is pretty simple; a lot like the very first games column I ever wrote. It's a piece on what games to look out for this summer. Other than MGS4, the current pickings for mega games are kinda lean, at least right now. There will probably be more announced soon, but we'll have to wait and see, now don't we?
So here we are! Hooray!
Wii: Wii Fit- I've chosen Wii Fit as the Wii game of choice this summer, and by the looks of things, it might be the only thing worth getting. Hardcore gamers might hate it, but the thing will sell. Oddly, the Wii game of choice was the hardest to choose from, as since the standards are so low; Boom Blox and de Blob might be better options to write about. Get those apathetic community college students interested in something different?
PS3: Metal Gear Solid 4- Easiest game to highlight. You know it; I know it. Let's move on.
360: Ninja Gaiden II- Seems to be the biggest 360 exclusive this summer. Actually, the 360 seems to have a lot of good, but not outstanding games coming out, and everything seems somewhat mediocre. Should I cover something else? Should I mention Soulcaliber IV, even though it's going to be on PS3? Hm...
DS: Ace Attorney: Apollo Justice and Final Fantasy Tactics Advance 2-This was really hard. I haven't made a decision between these two. Both are hardcore. Both appeal to niches. Neither are friendly to people unfamiliar to games. Is there something else I should write about? I'm really leaning to Apollo.....
PSP: Secret Agent Clank- Don't know much about this yet. I'll research more. PSP is really sad for the summer.
PC: Spore-This is hard, as Spore is technically coming out multiplatform, and in September, so it might not count as a game of summer. However, we all know the true experience is on the PC, and the creature creater is coming out rather soon. I think it counts.
So there you have it! My choices for summer! As I get this article written, I'll be doing plenty research into each game, and for the ones in question I think I'll have winners by tomorrow.
Yay for summer!

Yeah, LBP looks really cool, but nothing tops MGS4.
@ Kyouske
Yeah, your point? Should I write about the next Catz game or something based off Hannah Montana? Cause that would be unexpected, huh? Just to fuck with people? I'm dealing with non-gamer readers. They don't know Apollo Justice from Apollo Creed. So why don't you try to not be a jerk?
GTA IV is a game. Wii Fit is a toy. a distraction.
At least I got mine recently and have a long library to build up to.
My DS will probably get more love in the months to come.
No surprise there I guess.
