Like many of you, I'm sure, I keep all of my gaming and entertainment stuff in my room.
Recently, I
got a 360, which entailed getting the internet modem and router set up in my room as well. This has oddly created an interesting, irritating, but ultimately tolerable problem:
I have too many "always-on" lights in my room. You know, those irritating green/orange/yellow/red powered-on/off/loading/ and/or broken lights that tell you oodles of important information. You know, the ones that scream "I AM NOW POWERED OFF!"? Yeah those ones. Here's what I got:
4 green lights from the modem
3 green lights from the router
1 orange light from the Wii
1 red light from the TV
1 red light from the bass of my surround sound
1 orange light from my 360 power brick
3 green lights from my laptop
and occasionally:
Green rings from my 360 saying goodnight
and a fucking alien blue light from my Wii at four in the morning with some stupid "urgent message about a download that 18 million other people are downloading, making my download impossible.
I'd post a photo, but now it's too light. Anyway, you get the drift.
Thankfully, I can hide a bunch of these glowing shit-bags, but still, along with loud buzz of my 360 finishing a download, it's a veritable jungle of noises and evil eyes in my room each night. Difficult for me to sleep through.
On a happier note, I'm getting Orange Box for 40 bucks from Best Buy right now! Sweet!
*chortle*
