I'm new to this site. Since my profile was already being criticized as "lame" by Destructoid (because I didn't have a blog post or any friends yet), I've decided to correct this, with this blog post you're reading right now. I guess I should start by introducing myself. Well... I've been a pretty darn "hardcore" gamer for years (as you'll see in pictures below later) and I am a member of a whole mess of gaming sites. Most of them are forums of some sort, RPGamer, Atlus, Digikoto, Kotaku... Trust me, this list goes on forever.
I've only ever really had one blog before though and that was at 1up. The problem with that place is that it is falling apart. The blog scripting and comments don't work right and not even the community manager ever bothered to post too often. Combine that with the fact that most of the people I had met there have moved on, I am now done with that place. Not wanting to go to a site like MySpace, I had seen a contest for EO2 advertised on Atlus.com which led me here. Sure, I've been here before to read some stuff, but I never joined for some unknown reason.
No matter. That is being remedied now and I am looking forward to blogging a lot here.
As I said above, I'm what most would consider a "hardcore" gamer. My favorite genre of games is RPGs, of which I own many, but I'll play almost anything as long as it is fun. I first started playing games like many other children of the 80's, the NES. My family didn't have a lot of money, but my parents bought me a game from time to time which I would play endlessly until I got another. From the NES, I moved on to the SNES then Genesis, until at a point around the N64 I was able to support my gaming addiction on my own. Since that time, I've bought a lot of games and amassed quite the collection. At this point I suppose I should just show some pictures already.
As you can see, it is a lot. Over 450 games from many systems and it is not even close to being finished. Apart from all of that, I have other addictions such as manga and anime to consider, not to mention the normal stuff like movies and music, of which all are also quite impressive collections. Suffice to say that if anything happened to my stuff, I'd be the saddest person in the world, but let's think positively!
There are other pictures I could show, like my gaming setup and such, but I'll leave that for another time. I'm looking forward to meeting some new people here and seeing what all of you people and this site has to offer. Until next time.., Cheers.
This blog post made me realize that I really need to be more tidier and buy some fancier shelves. Anyway...
Welcome to Destructoid, I love you.

Just kidding! Your collection is awesome and in alphabetical order, therefore I'm so impressed I'm going to stare at these pictures again :)
