Fire Emblem is one of my favorite video game series ever, and for a good reason. Mostly because you have to think about your strategy ahead of time, and also that when you character dies he is gone for good. This is the newest Fire Emblem and is a remake of the first Fire Emblem on the Famicom and has Marth in it. I preordered the game and got a cool art cell with it and have been playing it long enough before my DS decided to break and now I can't play it anymore. But anyways, on with this mini-review thingy.
For the most part, you can't say much about this game if you've played the others in the series. It's still Fire Emblem, but with some minor changes. You can't have mounted units rescue unmounted units and you don't need torches. Then again, this is the first game in the series so I can understand that. But it would have been nice to add mounted rescues, however.

Another big change is the graphics. Gone are the amazing sprites of the GBA Fire Emblems, but now it's some weird computer graphics. The animations are extraordinarily ugly and the battle animations look like they were from the '90s. You get used to it after a while, but why Nintendo didn't just keep up with the sprites I have no idea.
But besides the annoying graphics, the game is great. I haven't finished it yet but the story is somewhat interesting and highlighting the enemy units movement is great for strategy. If you like Fire Emblem, you probably have this game right now and have probably beaten it. If not, what are you waiting for? The more Fire Emblems released here the better. I don't want to have to resort to fan translations and internet campaigns to get more of these games here in the US.
