First off, I abide.

Secondly, love teh haloz. Play a lot of FPS on the 360. The drunken Wii Sports is fun from time to time. Don't own a Ps3 and don't plan on it.

I dig and own almost every retro gaming system, and still play them from time to time.

Other than gaming, i watch a lot of movies (own almost 700 dvds and over 400 vhs). TV sux! I love to gamble as well, poker, black jack, craps, and sports betting.

Occupation- I manage a bar in ATL, which is why 95% of my posts will be slurred. I drink quite often, and AA is for
quitters.

Turok Demo and Schwag. You decide...

When i dropped by Game Stop to pick of COD4 yesterday the manager gave me this handy little box that included the Turok Demo and a free tee. So today after playing of COD4 online i decide to pop the disc in and check it out.

Well..... voice acting was horrible. It puts you into these 3rd person views while climbing, which is(was) pretty common in gaming but for some reason it just pissed me off. And while walking and jumping i felt like my character weighed 1,500 lbs.

Now after all that griping there were some things that i liked. It has a nice flashback scene were Turok was being trained and was slashed by his superior. This is how they introduce you to the knife and the 3rd person stealth kills. But, that just wasn't enough to get me excited about the game. I never played the Turok for xbox but i played the N64 version and it wasn't bad. Maybe they can polish this thing up before release date. Demo or not, it just wasn't interesting. Unless of course, you cream everytime you watch Jurassic Park.

Is the demo not up on XBL? I assumed it would be.

I don't really have the time or boxes to be mailing this stuff off. It's probably just going in the trash.

turok 64! pure ownage. i got it for easter and played it religiously. i expect this game to disappoint like no other. well disappoint to the same degree that perfect dark zero did compared to perfect dark 64.

How can you not like that?

I liked the first 2 and made it through Evolution, but that franchise needs a serious makeover. Not surprising since Acclaim was in charge until this one, but still.

Meh. I don't really care for it. I'll tell you another thing that I don't care for; people who push anything away that isn't another Bioshock or a Half-Life.

Games can't be just fun anymore. They have to "innovate."

I agree with what Nex said. Turok 2 was gold, after that it all went downhill. I was excited about this new one, but after watching it at PAX it really didn't look too exciting. :(

I loved all the N64 games, not so much the PS2 one. I just picked up the demo/t-shirt (which I'm wearing right now!) when I picked up CoD4 earlier!
