Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
They're already $2 a song right now, take that and multiply it by 11 and you're looking at $22 for one album that you can play guitar, bass, drums, and vocals.
It sucks but I don't see a way around it.
With that said, I've never listened to the Pixies, so I'll have to check them out to see if I'm going to get it.
$19 is a lot for any video game, that's like an accessory.. you figure rock band is $150 new, then a $20 album, that's almost 15% of the total price of the game! and that's just a digital download, nothing was manufactured or shipped or anything!
I know once it's added up $20 seems like a lot to pay for extra songs but at $2 a song (which I think is fair for a Rock Band song (not a GH song)), it's not that bad at all. At least you have the choice to pick and choose if you only want certain ones.
I agree it would be nice to get a Mp3 too, but it's not something that has to happen, as fans of this will buy regardless. The original cost of the game is not really a point of basis, considering anything after is optional. You don't "need" these songs to play the game. Another way to look at it is the RB disc alone came with around 50+ songs, and it retails for $60. Including a discount, these prices align on a per song basis if they were to just release another disc full of songs.
