How do you learn trash talk in your late 20s? I'm so behind the curve on LIVE. I find myself mumbling and making annoying random grunts and "ooohhhhh" sounds instead when I try to stay verbal. I'm very much a quiet focus on what I'm doing person. So how do I break that? Do I need to start randomly insulting people until it comes more naturally? Or am I just too old now?

When people are loud or obnoxious don't feed into the ignorance, be witty. Just simply state, " You better be quiet or you might wake your two daddys up". For some reason that really bothers people...

I prefer to "trash talk" with my skill. People can run their mouths all match but it won't stop my name from being at the top of the leaderboard in the end.

Also thinking of melee kills as bitch-slapping them to death ^_^

i once heard a guy on halo reply to a trashtalker with the following: "wow, i'm surprised you can speak so clearly with your dads balls in your mouth".

it works a treat if you actually feel like responding. normally i just join a party with someone i know whos online and that way it blocks online chatter from randomers.

What Garbz said. Why would you want to hear randoms chatter anyway? Hell, even when we do four person L4D versus we go in a party so we don't have to hear lobby chatter.

My friends trash talk too though which is really the only place I want to improve. It can be fun to goof off with them and trade barbs.
