Boring update.

I finished Dead Space thanks to illness. My first play through was my "One Gun" play, and then I went back in and got to like Chapter 7 breezing through earning the other gun trophies. The Flame Thrower and the Contact Beam are awful. Just horrible weapons to use. I'm not sure how I'm possibly going to get the Contact Beam trophy. Getting the flame thrower one was boring enough. It's just horrid to use. Thankfully, I've enjoyed using all the other weapons and maxing everything out. I'm not likely to play through on Insane, or get the turret trophies. The "Full Contact" trophy will the be the last I'm sure.

That aside I'm out of things to play! Weeee. I was thinking of trying Resident Evil 5 or Red Faction Guerrilla. Neither seemed all that fun from the demos though. Alternative to that I can just reach back into my archive of things I haven't finished. Maybe it's time for a good Persona 3 run?

I just finished Dead Space for the first time this weekend. I liked the game a lot overall, but the final boss was fucking WEAK. It makes an incredibly imposing entrance, but it was just too damn easy. At least I got to unlock the badass military suit.

I'm considering the weapon achievements and plasma-cutter-only run, but I just have too much other stuff to play right now. I'll come back to this eventually.
I heard that Dead Space was a lot more enjoyable on the highest difficulty.
Same thought here, Char. The final boss makes an amazing appearance, to the point where I was like "holy crap, how am I going to beat this thing?"

But then...fighting it? Meh. Had more trouble shooting asteroids.
I actually loved the last boss because while he wasn't terribly hard, it was so cinematic that I forgot about the difficulty. And I love cliffhanger endings, so I like that, too. :P
What pedrovay2003 said. Ya'll haters. lol I almost typed pedovay.
I've beaten this game 5 times netting all the trophies, this was my GOTY last year as I couldn't get enough of it and I still love it!!!

The assault rifle thing that shoots mega fast is an absoulte beast when fully upgraded, I loves me that gun.
I really wanna make a plasma cutter only run in this game... thinking I'll do that soon!
Really the plasma gun is super effective. It's easily the most effective gun in the game. Lots of ammo, it stacks very well, does a lot of damage, flexible shot. Really, I hesitate to say that the rifle is better in terms of ammo consumption.

I'd be more inclined to play on insane if I didn't have to restart from scratch. I think it's a major failure that this game doesn't allow you to keep your stuff powered up like other games do when it comes to "New Game+" mode.
