i'm speechless. (nice find!)
I'm shocked! SHOCKED I SAY!
Did you hear? Sony stole motion-sensing from Nintendo! The bastards!
@Necros
Don't you mean Analog stick?
I want a pink one!
@Necros
Or was it rumble? Maybe the Online Marketplace, or "trophies"?
I don't remember anymore.
Didn't you hear? Sony stole their name from the Zony.
ZOMG 1111, 5999, 646.
Um never heard that trydizon, but I love the "Original" Font that Sony uses for the PS3.
i dont see it.
Those look nothing alike, the angles are totally different. :)
Lol@colors
Sony can go suck a fuck.
sony stole my heart
They are in the same color order. Haha. Holy shit, man.
hahaha
Why?
@ tehuberone
Sony stole buttons!
I wouldn't be shocked if they announce a merger/partnership.
@Necros and tehuberone
sony stole gaming.
Dude, it's totally original. They're at different angles!
Ok, so what about the d-pad/directional buttons/cross-pad? Nintendo have copyrighted the name d-pad. It's their baby, everyone else stole it. Rumble? Same thing. Can't call it rumble if you're not Nintendo. Thumbsticks? Nope, that's teh big N too.
I agree entirely: Sony grabs hold of all these innovations where they can. Can you blame them? They're great!
As for the Marketplace/Network issue though, I think that was more progress that everyone was working on rather than Sony stealing from MS.
The font for the PS3 is a funny story though. That wasn't meant to be the final font. That was a mock-up that just looked kinda cool. Then it got popular and they didn't want to change it!
@glipe
"Ok, so what about the d-pad/directional buttons/cross-pad? Nintendo have copyrighted the name d-pad. It's their baby, everyone else stole it."
That's why Nintendo has the only decent d-pad. Most other cross pads are on top of a circle except Sony has theirs embedded.
@tehuberone
Actually, the font thing with the PS3 is a little different. Sony Pictures owns the Spider-Man movies, so it was actually Sony's font to begin with.
oh noes! sony copies everything! the next thing they will copy you to the DNA structures............
@hippiepieces: YES!! I agree entirely! I used to play SF2 all the time on the SNES and it was lush and good. Now, even though the PS2 pad doesn't have a bad d-pad (sue me, Reggie, go ahead and sue me), I feel constantly cheated by how good such old tech was.
Except that the d-pad on SNES controllers did sink into the pad with excessive use. Fixable though!
Sony used to innovate. Now they just playa hate.
Thanks for the early morning lulz.
WOOOOOOOOW!
That is all.
I get the feeling that on some level, this is meant to be a parody. I imagine some advertising bloke getting bored of just doing stock adverts and wanting to "mix it up" a little by including a little plagiarism.
But given Sony's track record, I wouldn't be surprised if they were just being uninventive assholes.
Sony stole my avatar!
I can't believe I'm defending Sony here but Nintendo did steal the white plastic carbonite look thing from Apple and the whole simple and easy look.
Sony also stole and ate your baby.
For some sad reason, this doesnt surprise me
Oh man, that's brilliant. Oops!
That's really funny to me. In a sad sad lack of originality kinda way.
winning = now!
They are totally different The I-pod is a color + white
were the cyber-shot is a color + silver. Jeez you had eveyone all exited for nothing.
at least its a cmaera that copied the ipod and not some other mp3 player...
otherwise heads would roll
Nice picture. :D.
