Six String Samurai

The other day I subscribed to NetFlix because the DVD selection in my town is shit. I was looking in their instant section when I saw one of the most entertaining movies I had seen in a while, Six String Samurai. Basically in the late 1950's Russia bombed the hell out of America and the last home of democracy was Las Vegas. Elvis was named the king of Las Vegas, but shortly before the beginning of the movie he died. Now all the Rock and Rollers are competing to take his throne. The movie follows one Rock and Roller, Buddy.

The fight scenes are good for what according to NetFlix is an independent movie. Overall I thought it was a cool stylish movie with a god awful ending.

I LOVED this movie, but I have to say that I agree with the ending... I mean, it's like it was trying to do two things at once. I don't know how else to put it without spoiling.

I thought the movie was pretty good. I think I was around 15 or 16 when I first saw it. To me, that was the best thing ever.

I saw this in theaters back in the day. All I can say is: That kick was epic. You know the one I'm talking about. I remember running into the Red Elvises one night in New Orleans. I think they were playing at a nearby bar and had parked their van on the sidewalk. Good times.

I love this movie so much! I'm glad dtoid agrees, I bought it on DVD and watch it every once in a while. Only thing I didn't like was that little kid being so damn annoying and bawww tastic.
