I interviewed Ron Workman for my journalism class. These are the mediocre results, but not to terrible for a first timer.
Sarasota resident Ron Workman is leading the cutting edge of internet journalism as the co-founder of the world’s largest independently owned video game blog, Destructoid. Through hard work, surrounding himself by the right people, and a recognizable mascot, Mr. Destrucoid, founders Ron Workman and “Niero” have built an online empire that boasts an average of 86,004 visits per day. Being an independently owned site the writers and editors answer to no corporate overlords. This is a contrast to their two largest competitors the AOL’s Joystiq and Gawker’s Kotaku.
Workman is aware of online journalism’s greatest criticism, a lack of credibility. “Blogs are opinionated,” says and sometimes people’s opinions are wrong.” Destructoid, unlike many smaller web-sites work directly with the corporations and developers they cover. This is obviously not the case with all blogs on the internet, “You get people with no journalistic backbone” warns Workman in a reflective manner.

Prof asked for something around 100 to 150 words, I have 149. My prof feels that short and sweet is the way to go for journalism, and I think in many cases he is right.
I watched blackula when I was like 9 or 10 I rememered it being kind scary and when I tried to watch it a few years ago I was like, " I liked that drivel? What was wrong with me?" I find that happens more as I get older with various things from my past.
Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
