After struggling for quite some time I figured where the new post button was for my blog! So I figure I had better make my first post something informative and interesting, eh? My name is Kris, I own a wii, DS, a 360, live is taterchimp. Parents raised me on NES, gaming since I could hold a controller. My mom beat the lost worlds in Mario in addition to the full NES game without any warp pipes. Despite my reading of the VC manual, she still knows more about bubble bobble than I do. Its great.
Currently taken at this time, so my gaming has to be balanced between an
IS internship (where I secretly read DToid), a girlfriend, food and sleep. From Illinois, live
in Des Moines, and enjoy all sorts of gaming. I have spent so many hours at work reading this site that I feel compelled to thank all of the regulars and c-bloggers.
I enjoy plaing on live, mostly COD, but I could see possibly GTA or Halo3. And to conclude the first post, I will tell a little story about why you should always check your friendly neighborhood Best Buy. So I visit there every once in a while with a co worker to kill time. One day we go there and they have a guitar hero display set up. GH2 is being sold for 40, the guitar itself for 50 and the bundle is 20. Wait...what? I double checked it and sure enough it was cheaper to buy the game and guitar. Also curious is the fact that later at a different best buy they were selling Halo for standard new game price....still. 60 dollars for it. However only feet away is a display of Halo Legendary Editions that are from the back room with the street date stickers and everything. Those cost a whopping 50 dollars. Wait...what? My friend, being oh so savvy picks one up. I decide that even though it may be cheaper it still isnt quite worth it, even if I do get swag. We go back about two weeks later. The stack is about half as tall as it was of Legendary Editions. Now they are 30 dollars each. Wait...what? For half the price of the game in the store...for less than used pricing for the regular edition at gamestop...and a 'better' edition. And thats why I own Halo 3. (12 year olds playing make it intolerable. Friends make it worth 30 dollars.)
P.S.
Welcome to a year ago: Does anyone know if the campaign is different in the Legendary edition than the normal ones? For instance I have seen random rats on the ground and there are guys in hard hatsand lab coats with guns. I couldnt remember if that was in the normal game or not. Thanks!
