April's almost over, and there's still no public Steam client for Mac. April doesn't mean May. It's almost May. Also, "coming in April" doesn't include limited closed betas. Closed betas are fine. They're a way to control certain variables during the beta testing phase, including volume of feedback. But a closed beta with a client release in May doesn't mean, "coming in April." It means, "Whenever it's fucking done." Which is a fine time frame to release. It's how Id Software has operated in the past. Valve Time is not the time the rest of us operate on.

Please stop teasing us poor Mac fans. We get enough crap about the one button mouse.

No Love,

taiki

Valve time is getting to the point where it's insulting, haha.
HALF-LIFE 3!!!!
Could be worse, could be Linux. Herp. Quit yer bitchin'! :P
Yup. Sounds about right according to Valve Time
Aside from L4D2, I think almost everything else Valve released came out much later than expected. After all, where's HL 2 ep 3? On the other hand, have they ever released a bad game? Maybe that means better Mac support when it finally rolls around.

Zetta slow is more like it.
I really do think Half Life 2 was really overhyped.

it's not bad, it's just not as good as everyone says it is. Using the gravity gun to saw through an enemy's head was amusing the first few times around, but... Gameplay and story wise, it's a standard SciFi FPS with enough loose ends to qualify it as a tattered rag. Even MGS made attempts to tie up loose ends.
i wasn't in the hype, and I thought it was really badass
I remember waking up early for school in order to pre-download HL2 so I could play it AS SOON as I got home. This was back when Steam sucked! HL2 deserved all the hype it got, even if it doesn't seem like it now.
Being a hardcore Valve fan makes me feel like a battered wife who makes excuses for her abusive husband.
valve time...
@Taiki
I thought HL 2 was pretty neat - not the best thing ever, but good.

The Episodes on the other hand...
ARE AMAZING.

Haha sorry.
you know the mouse has two buttons, you just have to go into system prefs...
@Rammstein

At least you can hack Steam onto Linux. I was thinking "Could be worse, could be PS3."
@Time and a Half

Mac tradition; not modern mac reality ;) Besides MacBooks and MacBook Pros still have only one mouse button!

(Yes, two fingers on pad and click for context menu.)
