About
Hey, I'm Stoo, I live in Fife, Scotland.

Online I enjoyed podcasting, I run Podcast On Fire - "It's Asian Cinema, in a Podcast". Been running it since October 07, total of 25 shows so far as well as at least 30-50 Deleted Conversations/Outtakes etc. So it's pretty much obvious that I'm huge fan of Asian Cinema, been collecting movies for 5 years now and I have probably 200 imports, everything from the old old VCDs to the latest Dragon Dynasty release.

For Gaming, I started out with a Commador 64, playing games like; The Last Ninja 2, this thing with a duck and terminator two, it's all pretty vague. Then I got the usual consoles growing up; Game Boy (Loved playing Legends of Zelda Links Awakening), Sega Mega Drive (I think I only really played Sonic and Theme Park on it), then there was a gap until I got a Playstation w/Final Fantasy VII and once I managed to get into the style of Final Fantasy 7, it became my life, I collected 6, 8 and 9 after that, but only completed 8. I then moved onto the Playstation 2 where I bought and played Final Fantasy 10 (I managed to complete that) and several of the Dynasty Warrior games (with my love of Asian Cinema, this game was so much fun). With the X-Box 360 and Playstation 3 coming out I couldn't decide which title to go with, then one day with far too much money on my hands I ended up buying a X-Box 360, I've had it for nearly two years now and I love it! (even thought I've had to send it back and forth for repairs twice, bloody red light!). This year I also bought a Nintendo Wii and this afternoon I bought a Nintendo DS Lite (15/08/08)!

For Destructoid, I love the community, I wish I was more of a part of it, but I don't know too much about games and their developers, although I'm hooked on all of the sites podcasts, I started off just listening to Podtoid, then tried my luck with Retroforce and thought the show was great! With Podcastle starting up I thought it was another fine edition to my iPod.

I've also tried really hard to get into the Euro FNF, but I've managed to have a game of Call of Duty 4, a free-for-all on Shipment where I ended up coming in second :D I must clear my friday nights for more gaming sessions

So Games I'm currently playing now;

Orange Box (HL2: E2 & TF2)
Puzzle Quest
Braid Trial Demo
Call of Duty 4
Final Fantasy III

oh and here's a picture of me and a big pint!

Bought my Wii yesterday, got Wii Sports.

One of the main reasons I bought it was to get into the Virtual Console, being a fan of RetroForce they have some great suggestions each week etc.

But what games do you think are most worth their money, i bought Mario 64 and I forgot how much I hated the camera angles in it!

So is Breath of Fire 2 any good? I love RPG's any of the old Zeldas worth getting?

Suggestions would be awesome.

I still have 4000 Wii Points to spend lol

Super Metroid, Metroid, Bomberman '93, Sin & Punishment, and Gunstar Heroes are classics and I endorse.

And if you like RPG's, Breath of Fire 2 is good. But it all depends on what type of games you like.
.... If it's still on there, do NOT forget Bomberman.

And I'm jealous of your wii. D: Too bad I can't find one.

The old Zelda's are classics, so yes, imo, they're good. Atleast I had fun with 'em.
Final Fantasy games onthe PS1 rocked, I really enjoyed those.

I loved Zelda on the Game boy.

Dyson reccomended Super Metroid too
You need to tell us what you like, but, yeah, any of the VC Zeldas are worth getting.
Super Metroid. Phantasy Star II. ToeJam and Earl. Sin and Punishment. Zelda for the SNES. (Ocarina is lame imho).

but for RPGs, get Phantasy Star II.
Thank you topgeargorilla! I've always thought that A link to the past was the pinnacle of Zelda awesome-ness, but thought I was the only one... I'm not so alone in the world after all!
If you have a Classic Controller or a GameCube controller, then I can't stress enough how much you need Sin & Punishment. I played nothing but that game for a week solid and then gifted it to two friends as Christmas gifts. It is so full of win that fail got scared and went on vacation with his ex-wife, Vivien, and her new husband and his three kids.

And, yeah. Zelda. If you do not see the letters CDI in the title (and they have to be in that order, since "The Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina of Time" technically contains all of the letters), then you need to play it to achieve ultimate gamer-dom by St. God-Guy the 16th when you're standing at the pearly gates.

Oh, and Punch-Out. Just saying...
Star Fox 64, Paper Mario (great RPG), Super Castlevania, Link to the Past, other stuff
Oh yeah! Paper Mario! Perfect $10 game. Must buy!
Bought the first Zelda, maaaan that's a old looking game he he
Get you some Gradius and 1080.

".... If it's still on there, do NOT forget Bomberman."
what do you mean if it's still on there?
and quit using my post to prop your arm up, stoo
he he sorry :D
