Ever since seeing Video Games Live in January, I've found myself more and more intrigued by game music not just as something to turn down so I can listen to "real" songs so I can listen to podcasts while I slaughter people in Killzone 2. I've found myself listening to it more and more as a full fledged form of entertainment. In the past two months alone, I've downloaded and purchased nearly fifty songs (a good portion of them Final Fantasy covers I admit) and the further I get into this subgenre of music, the more it amazes me at the wealth of material here.
Just the other day I was Googling video game cover bands and I came across Mega Driver, which offered on their website free MP3's of basically all their music.
I don't have much to say about this really, but I'm curious of what else is out there. The Black Mages, Powerglove, Entertainment System, I've discovered all of these, but does anyone else know of more bands I would be wise to invest in?

If you haven't heard of it yet, this guy is awesome and writes pretty original music based on mostly Metroid songs.
Band is called Game Over. They don't have many song but they still rock. Siege at Monsteropolis is awesome.
Maybe you would like Animetal too.
