I bought a Dreamcast at midnight.

Yup, stood there outside my EB, eagerly awaiting my CD goodness after the N64. I bought is for the great games, particularly, the twodee fighters.

So I bought an arcade stick to better nail the combo between the ducking HP to Shoryuken to SHIN SHORYUKEN! Or the HP to Poison Gnawfest combo. The stick was great, it worked perfectly.

Now it's worth more than I paid for it!

Oh SNAP!

Much like Antiques Roadshow I will not sell my DC stick, it is more valuable as a memento and as a method of playing SFIII, but damn, it's nice to know that I have made an investment.

Trade it for a 360...

Two posts from soul at a reasonable hour where I live...whats going on? I've always hoped one of my random videogame purchases would make me rich but some how they just put me more in dept.

I ran into somthing similar the other day. I still have a 3DO sitting around with a huge stack of games. I then found a 3DO console identical to mine being sold with 2 games and 1 controller for $80 at a local store. I thought I was going to choke!! I think I paid $10 for the console back in the day, and now it's pushing almost $100? Shows that the classics will always be classic and probably never die.

This is why I'm glad I still have my original gameboy and virtual boy. Should be fun in 20 years or so

I bought 3 copies of Super Mario RPG for SNES over the course of a year or so back in the N64 era, when SNES games were uber cheap... I paid 30 bucks for them, now they all are worth $50+
