Last weekend's PIN-MAINE-IA event was one of the great pinball happenings of this year. Great fun was had by all. This event will continue to grow as long as it has the fantastic support of people like "BallyMan" John Reuter and the Boston Pinball Association. PIN-MAINE-IA, onward and upward!
Team "Wicked Shimmy" (Trent A., Todd M., Ed Z., and myself) won the Pine-Brawl event. I was able to get enough WPPR (World Pinball Player Ranking) points to raise my world ranking up to #16.
IFPA (International Flipper Pinball Association) President Josh Sharpe won the New England Championship to claim the #3 World ranking.
Next event: The FSPA (Free State Pinball Association) pre-PAPA Flip-Off on July 26, 2008 at John's Place in Fairfax, Virginia. BE THERE!!!
EDIT: YouTube video link changed to include the Eight on the Break Tourney info.
Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
#16 in the world, good job! I barely made 25th in the convention at the Comic Con Street Fighter Alpha tourney.
