The rest of the soundtrack actually looks promising... Here.
I've seen the Watchmen game, but I can't say anything about it until next Tuesday.
10. All Along the Watchtower, Jimi Hendrix
EPIC FUCKING WIN!!!!!!!!!!
Maybe, just maybe,
-SPOILERS MAYBE-
The giant octopus alien thing will show up and eliminate them before the movie ends.
FINALLY SOMEBODY WHO AGREES WITH ME THAT THE WATCHMEN MOVIE IS GOING TO BE GARBAGE!
I was actually just going to write about this. I can't describe to you how fucking pissed I was when I heard about this.
This shit just keeps getting worse.

Alan Moore is a nut job. A genius nut job.
Also, the song wasn't bad. A bit bland, but not bad.
I guess we have to hate it because it's "emo." I forgot we're in a holy war with that shit.
*sigh*
Music elitism...
@thecleaningguy
They cut the squid alien out. That is reason #12856 why this movie will suck.
And I am serious about that. They did cut that out. Zach Snyder confirmed it.
I thought the cover was pretty alright. Waaaaaaaaaaaay better then their actual songs though.
Well they needed to cut something, Watchmen is a 12 issue 400 page monolith.
I'm gonna watch it, at least it looks like its gonna follow the story a bit better than say League of Extrodinary Gentlemen.
Christ, comic book fans are such a whiny lot.
Comic book fans are quite the selective bunch, and I list myself amongst that group, but for good reason. We can't go out and buy every publication that comes out each month, Bill Gates alone has the megalithic budget to feed his nerdery as he wishes. As for Watchmen, it's like the Holy Arc of the Covenant to us comic and graphic novel fans, so we're all going to be touchy whenever someone pokes this magnum opus with the edit stick. At least we aren't crying because there weren't enough elves, like some LoTR fans...
@ Gyro
Yes, but this movie isn't going to rip the book out of your hands.
Wait...why do we hate My Chemical Romance again?
I think that they're a really descent pop-rock band.
@Rucksack:
Apparently it's still cool to hate them because they are "emo" I guess. I actually really like them but this cover ain't all that. As vexed alex said this song is pretty bland and I can't really see how this song will fit the tone of the movie.
I'm still excited for the Watchmen movie but I can understand why fans are pissed off with it. I'll withhold judgment until I actually see it though.
Oh what the fuck.
That is the worst cover of Desolation Row I have ever heard.
I almost completely agree with you on this, because I actually think the movie itself might be good, but I'll still nitpick about everything they do wwrong.
@vexed
It's not that we hate them, it's just Desolation Row (the original song by Bob Dylan) is an incredible song, and this cover tramples all over it. But I'm really just speaking for myself here.
I've always had a soft spot for MCR. Probably because they actually have influences in punk unlike their 'emo' peers. With influences like Black Flag and the misfits I can't help but respect them.
Ok, the song sucks. But I think it may be the song that plays in the club Rorschach goes to near the beginning of the book to get some information on The Comedian's murder. You know, the one with all the punk looking dudes where he breaks someone's finger?
And Rage's cover of Dylan's Maggie's Farm is fucking incredible.
The song was a decent pop-punk cover.... not great, but not shit. Perfect soundtrack material.
I like a couple of MCR's songs, other wise,
I stick to my Nine Inch Nails, my Oh No's, and my Daft Punk's, as well as a few others.
@Aborto: they took out the squid-monster alien? WTF! I had some hope for this movie, but if they did remove one of the giant plot pieces as you say, this movie is fucked.
last time i checked on this zack snyder did indeed confirm no alien squid monster but alluded to something involving a nuclear attack based around dr manhattens powers.
either way, i remember readign numerous reports of test screenings featuring one version with squid and one without.
im hoping the big uncut, tales of the black freighter included, 3 hour dvd version snyder has promised me will include all the squiddy goodness i desire.
ontopic: i dont hate my chemical romance but by god did that song suck.
Thanks for that link GatorSax
@Vexed Alex and Anus Mcphanus
I'm a reformed emo kid myself, in fact I used to listen to MCR *shudders* then I realized what a shitty band they are along with all the other generic trash out there. Hell, if anything I sympathize with emo kids a bit and I'm usually one to get irritated over pointless emo-bashing, we all did stupid things in high school!
Here's an old pic of me to point and laugh at:
Whatever, a movie was going to be made eventually. It will be fun if you go in expecting it to be just that, fun.
Turn off your brains and just enjoy seeing Rorshach in motion. Watchmen was/is a fucking incredible novel, but theres no reason to hate on the movie from the outset. Watch it, then make an opinion. See how it stands on its own.
