Wanted: Ideas!

Hey all, this is my first post on Dtoid but I've been reading it for quite some time. After reading the post made by Holmes today, got kinda inspired to make a game. I was personally thinking of a sort of mash up between Psi-ops' game play with Aquaria's control scheme. Haven't fleshed out a story line yet, but all contributions will be greatly appreciated and credited if used. Something to keep in mind, the game will probably be 2D just because it'll be easier to make that way.
