I need a new header...
Games I'm currently playing:
Marvel VS Capcom 3
SSFIV
Fallout: NV
Dead Space 2
Pokemon HeartGold
Guess what? I like games.
Yes. I'm a gamer; so is everybody else on D-toid.
Gamertag: smurfee mcgee --add me.
PSN: smurfee_mcgee --Need more PSN friends.
Systems I own:
Nintendo Wii
Xbox 360
PS3
PSP
Nintendo DS
I've owned a lot, but sadly I didn't keep them. I also, up until 2007, had a PS2, but it took a $#!t.
I just recently got an N64 again. Starting again from scratch.
Stuff I like:
anything that's fun, honestly. If it looks fun, I'll give it a go. I'm not biased towards one game type.
couple of favs:
MOST things Mario [read: Mario's Missing]
Bioshock
the Mega Man series.
Virtua Fighter 5
Mariokart DS
Tetris
the Burnout series
Conker's Bad Fur Day [awesome]
Banjo-Kazooie
Some monster truck game of which I can't remember the name
Ranbow Six series
Resident evil
So much. I won't post em' all, but so many.
ETERNAL DARKNESS-one of my favorite games. period.
I loved alot of my 64 games; wish I woulda kept em'
Actually, I should have kept alot of my stuff. but I didn't.
I'm a big advocate for multiplayer; whether split-screen or otherwise. Even some sucky games can be fun with a friend.
I lost a big chunk of my game archives in 2005, but I'm too poor to completely rebuild it. Instead I just pick em' up on the cheap whenever I get the chance.
I'm a big arcade guy. I love em', and I wish they weren't disappearing.
Hopefully they won't.
After some recent blogs about this game, there has been a few negative comments about it. (Mostly because the first game wasn't overly impressive, I know)
But after the newest blog post by D-toid's very own Hamza CTZ Aziz, I actually had some hope for this new game. It looks to be keeping with the same style of play from the first one, but with improvements.
The best part about the first game was it's style: shoot EVERYTHING. The more stylish the kill, the more points. It was arcade-style action; maybe not at its finest, but at least it was somewhat fun.
If this trailer is any indicator, I'd say I have even more hope now.
Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. (you might not get that unless you know the song)
So, will anyone be swayed to actually try this game, or are there still some hardcore haters out there?
To use your term, I think I have been swayed to at least try it. Maybe if they release a demo, I'll take a swing at it and see how it turns out. More than likely though, I don't think it'll be worth buy the day it comes out.
Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
I might pick it up if it was 20 bucks, looks kind of interesting.
Surprisingly.
