I don't know about "absolutely nothing", but I guess it's a bit different. If they were aiming to be distinct from Ash, they failed:

Actually since he's an assist trophy you find out boxer's can stand up to everything and can't be stood up to by anything. Either way I hope he does the star punch at the end of whatever he does when he comes out. He's got to.
