Gundam'd Arcade
sleepycat | 10:52 PM on 09.16.2007 7 comments

Ok, soon I am going to crack the code for using one of these fancy Japanese multi-player tactical card/arcade hybrids. I can't read the user manual that you can pick up, but damnit, i'm going to get it done!

I mean, how many arcade games do you know that have manuals?!

Are you living there for study or something or are you visiting?

Anyway the ball is for moving your base, the buttons are for the different modes your mobile suits to go in, and the cards are for moving the unit. The attack button pretty much opens up all of the guns for attack at a mid-spread and mid-range. So if you have say the original gundam equipped with 2 guns then three weapons will fire because the gundam has a head vulcan. Now the mobility button gives you a short boost of speed for whichever card you are touching in the direction you are guiding it. In the mobility mode your melee weapon comes out for use. Last is the defense, which if you have a shield equipped, will cover you from damage and hit your shield. Also defense mode alows you to shoot your equipped weapon at longer range for less damage in a small spread. Also each mobile suit needs a pilot, optional 2 weapons spaces, and and optional custom card for stat boosting.

I hope this helps and I hope you are ready to spend large amounts of cash that you will be spending on this game.

Wow, that looks rad. I need to know more, so I can be depressed about never getting to play one.

@milofo: wow, so detailed! Yea, it looks pricey, and on my income as a teacher, probably not all that great a choice to spend money on it. ;) Besides, there's other card/arcade games that look far more interesting that I didn't get good photos of, like the rpg-style ones.
