See for yourself, my laptop there on the floor is full of bugs. Its a refurbished dell latitude running windows 98--translation, no quick play anything, i have to track down drivers for everything and i have an external hard drive and wifi card that DON'T WORK. Which is why the PSP is displaying the Velocity site. On the screen you can see SYSTEM.INI error messages, everything on it runs ok but it just won't learn new hardware.

As a longtime lurker and first time blogger, first i just want to relate how indebted i am to the writers of destructoid (what happened to the dream team Niero, site needs more quality retro/awesome writeups.) *I recently wrote an art history paper on the rise of respectability in the design of pinball machines 1976-2006. PinMAME, heard of it? ipdb.org has all the ROMS as well as ROMS for modifying your actual home pinball machine programming. As most emulators are, it's a little tricky to get everything into working order, and you need a fast PC. All necessary components are fully free and available online just google for pinmame.

Let me count the ways I'm outdated and need this sweet rig.

-Not able to get online for my fix of dtoid, the borrowed PSP has 'not enough memory' and my new wifi gear won't let me access as is.
-I own all Nintendo systems up until current gen, or GBA anyway
-my DVD player is the PS2 cinderblock model.

look at some of the excellent game choices dtoid writers have influenced me to pick up. Including but not limited to,

-Dreamcast system, Ikaruga, Chu Chu Rocket, Ooga Booga, Virtua Tennis.
-PC demos of Worms Armaggedeon, Cave Story, Y's Typing Tutor=awesome
-Bargain Bin Games like Maximo, Sky Odyssey, Seek and Destroy, Donkey Kong Jungle Beat, Timesplitters 2, and SSBM =almost as good as Ikaruga
GBA games, Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga, Gunstar Super Heroes,
