Come see me perform sketch comedy!
sickNasty | 3:24 PM on 05.29.2009 12 comments

If you live in the North Jersey/NYC area, come see me in the Faces for Radio sketch comedy show this Sunday, May 31st at Tierney's Tavern in Montclair, NJ. MAP

You may say, "Hey this is not VGR at all!" to which I would say, "Shut your monkey face."

For you see, among other things, I will be in a sketch that features Xbox Live and Halo prominently.

Tickets are $10 bucks, so price isn't an issue. And it's Sunday night at 8PM.
What the hell else are you gonna do on a Sunday, watch the lame ass MTV Movie Awards???

FALSE.

Seating starts at 7:30 and it'll be a packed house so make sure you get there early. So come out and watch a fellow Dtoider bring you the lulz in a non-internet environment.

Check out the facebook page for it: Faces for Radio

And become a fan while you're at it!

SEE YOU THERE

Sounds good man, unfortunately I'm in Scotland, otherwise I would totally come. Good luck!

I was in an improv comedy troupe as a teenager. We were called The Raconteurs originally (this was back in the early to mid 90's, so no, we did not get our name from the band of the same name), then we later changed our name to No Vacancy which we stuck with until we disbanded for *cough*, creative differences.

Good luck and if I was in or around NYC, I would be there.

Have someone make a video, dude. I'd be happy to see your performance and stuff. Sadly, I live in Ohio.

We are having someone record this one. So I'll make sure I provide links.

Y'know what, I hate to ask this off the cuff and out of nowhere, but make sure to let us know next time you're doing something like this - Montclair's less than an hour from me and I'd like to meet a fellow DToider one of these days. I'd come to this thing, but unfortunately I'm going to be elsewhere. Anyways, all the best regarding this performance!

Yeah, I was a little late getting around to announcing it.

Just follow us on Facebook so you know what's up. We have another show in August, and we'll also be performing at a comedy festival in October.

I would support were I in the area but sadly I am too many hours away in St. Catharines, ON far across the Canada. Good luck! I did stand up comedy twice back in school and it was friggn' hard. I miss performing and all.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?

Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!

 about me

I was raised on the Commodore and 386 computers, and then Sega Genesis. Thus my gaming identity was formed by a steady diet of Shareware(one word: Apogee), floppy disks, and rented Genesis games.

From there I went into the pupae stage with the Saturn and Nintendo 64, emerging from my cocoon with an Xbox.

These days, my time is spent on my 360 and Dreamcast. My PSP mostly finds use as an awkward mp3 player.

I work in advertising in NYC. As a graduate of PSU, when I'm not playing games or murdering vagrants, I'm following college football(JoePa is my religion)
