About Me
I was raised on the Commodore and 386 computers, and then Sega Genesis. Thus my gaming identity was formed by a steady diet of Shareware(one word: Apogee), floppy disks, and rented Genesis games.

From there I went into the pupae stage with the Saturn and Nintendo 64, emerging from my cocoon with an Xbox.

These days, my time is spent on my 360 and Dreamcast. My PSP mostly finds use as an awkward mp3 player.

I work in advertising in NYC. As a graduate of PSU, when I'm not playing games or murdering vagrants, I'm following college football(JoePa is my religion)

Currently in rotation:
Halo 3
ODST
Far Cry 2
Turok
Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb
Marvel vs. Capcom 2

Come see me do standup!
sickNasty | 7:24 PM on 08.01.2009 15 comments

If you live in the North Jersey/NYC area you should come out to this videogame comedy show I'm doing this Sunday. It's at the same place I do my sketch comedy, Tierney's Tavern in Montclair, NJ. MAP

It's called Mega Woot. It's a night of standup comedy (featuring yours truly) and competitions in a couple different games.

And you'll not only be able to see me do standup, but I'm also performing my infamous Xbox Live sketch There's going to be Rockband and Street Fighter 4 competitions.

Check out the Facebook page

It's only 10 bucks, seating starts at 7:15. And you know you're just going to be playing games on a Sunday night anyway. Why not come out and try to win some prizes, or at least heckle me?

SEE YOU THERE

Jersey's far away. Especially if you live in Texas.

Live Stream?

COMDEDY NIIIIIIGHT! I live on the West Coast, so I obviously won't be able to make it, but best of luck. Stand-up comedy always seemed like a fun thing to do, but it takes a lot of guts. Good Luck meng.

Used to do stand-up myself (for 3 yrs), but never had a crowd appreciative of my video-game sensibilities / references so I had to focus on other material -- that's great that you have an event that's geared towards the games!

Hope you kill, man!

Thanks for the kind words guys.

And unfortunately it won't be live streamed. But I'll try to get some sort of video recording.

@Walkyourpath:
This will be my second time doing standup, and the first time doing videogame material. I'm nervous that the audience won't be as knowledgeable as us Dtoiders and not get the jokes.

If I was 21, I'd be all over this. Until then, I'm gonna have to pass.

@SickNasty -- They won't get obscure references for the most part, but I did find some success with references to retro games like Donkey Kong, etc.

I also found some success in playing with the stereotype of the typical gamer.

Let us know how it goes!!!
