Artistic interpretation of a typical WNW session.

Crashing through the sky comes the fearful cry:
Sadis-tic! (Sadistic!) Sadis-tic! (Sadistic!)
Armies of the night, evil taking flight!
Sadis-tic! (Sadistic!) Sadis-tic! (Sadistic!)
Nowhere to run, nowhere to hide,
Panic spreading far and wide! Who can turn the tide?

Ship-ear-ohh! (a real American hero) Shipero is there!
Ship-ear-ohh! (a real American hero) Shipero is there!
Fighting for freedom wherever there's trouble over land and sea and air,
Shipero is there!

Shipero is the code name for Destructoid's daring, highly trained Wednesday Night Warcawks host. His purpose: to defend human freedom against MrSadistic, a ruthless tank hoarder determined to shoot you in the face. His side projects: tripping over Y0j1mb0’s landmines and stabbing liam in the back then listening to him cry about it.

As usual I’ll put the server up at 7pm EST with the name ‘DToid_WNW’ and the password of 'TOID'. I’m going to replace the Dogfight at the beginning of the rotation with a standard Deathmatch because I hate flying. If anyone would like it kept in there or has any other maps/modes they would like added or dropped from the rotation just let me know in the comments section and I’ll change thing around accordingly.

Post your PSN ID, military specialties, memorable quote, and character bio below. No one will ever read it because your filecard will be thrown away with the rest of your packaging. You never know, you might be a big hit in the collector’s market though. They love that crap.

Change the rotation anyway you want. You can do that because you're a knife trowing ninja.

I really need to stop running around randomly without checking for landmines and I really need to shoot you in the face so you can stop knifing me at the top of a random tower. But yeah, it is pretty neat to hear Liam cry when shooting at him with a well-placed tank shot, 2 clicks away.

The concept of speed-running an adventure game (since a large portion of adventure games is the dialog and cinematics) makes me sad. :'(

Aw, I like dogfights. Why don’t you mix it up? Like, leave it in the rotation somewhere, but change the map from Archipelago to, say, Destroyed Capitol. Personally, I hate the deathmatch that we currently play on that map anyway (“King of the Hill”).

Did anybody else ever remember the internet treasure hunt Sierra did for the release of KQ8? Best part about the game to be honest, and was how I first heard of Half Life. :)

You know I remember it but all i remember that it was an internet treasure hunt. Didn't remember any other details about it. At the time I was still loathing like a fanboy about how you didn't play as King Graham or any of his children and so forth.

But she's not the only one who broke my heart... Why no WNW tonight? Only 4 people showed up. I know I was late (fell asleep, I'm getting old) but c'mon guys! Where are Samit, Jimbo and the rest of the gang? This was the only night I could play games. I have to work seven days in a row which means no FNF for me this week. You guys better show up next week!

Well, I hope they release a patch for UT III soon since that's really the only game that I can start up a server anytime and just play against people at random times. I could do it with Warhawk, but playing UT III randomly is just fun.
