From what I've been hearing you can remove your HDD and re-insert it, then boot up and you will have to format your hard drive again. You'll lose your game saves and have to download everything over again, but your PS3 will work and you will still have 2.40. Sorr to hear that shit happened to you. Hope you can get it fixed, bro.
My PS3 is fine for now, knock on wood.
