You see, Fat Princess is like Jell-o puddin' pops. No, actually, it's more like Kodak Film. No, actually, Fat Princess is like the New Coke; it'll be around forever. Heh. Heh. Heh.
You see, kids, they play the Socom, which gives them the brain damage. With their shootin' and the runnin' and the hidin' and the gunnin'. So they don't know what the Fat Princess is all about.
I promised Takeshi like 2 weeks ago that I would be coming back to FNFs, due to a recent purchase of Killzone2. But last week I was busy with Far Cry 2 and didnt remember, and tonight I'm going to a surprise AC/DC concert with a friend. Next week, I promise. I can tell you've all been pining for my glorious return.
What do you know, a big list of games I love to play. I'm in for everything I'm sober enough to operate. I'm steadily getting better at timing bomb throws and being conscious of how my class operates makes it feel like less of a clusterfuck. Now the only hard part about playing the worker is getting people to capture buildings near metal deposits. You want your stuff upgraded or spring pads built? Stop them from killing me!
@elsa
It's simple enough that going for the online portion first won't put you at a disadvantage as long as you know the buttons, especially if you're the warrior.
@takeshi
Bacon and cheese tiger nuts. Throw in an angry scorpion hidden in every bag and it might be the manliest snackfood ever. Fat Princess also gets better as you learn how to use the hats/classes.
@Daxelman
A vacation from video games--isn't that like taking a sabbatical from napping?
Celica... you should join in the ranked game I play with a group of other people every Thursday night! (7pm pacific/9pm central/ 10pm eastern)... it's an open player-server ranked game and the game name starts with "GAP" (though it's ranked cap at around Captain, so if you're a really high rank you'd be out of luck). We usually play for at least 2 hours. I'm usually the one in the tank... or crashing into mountaintops in a nemesis! :)
If you really want to know what's going on in Fat Princess you'd have to read the "How To..." in the options menu. Then play some single-player and if you get bored by that, usually after 5 minutes, play some online matches.
@Trev
I knew something was missing! Angry scorpions. Might have to track those down for next FNF.
Elsa, I may play with you guys if I'm on at that time then!! I'm still only a Sergeant Major so I should be safe avoiding the cap for a few more years haha.
Also, I'm willing to host some Burnout and COD 4 if anybody be interested later tonight, and I wish my bro didn't let his friend borrow our copy of Resistance 2
I'll be trying to play with people all night and probably failing due to shit internet. Two more Fridays after this though and I'm back on insane university speeds.
Well, I got Fat Princess.. tried to do online but it can't seem to find a game. I set up my own online game (and it seems to use bots which is cool), but the lag was so bad I was moving at about 1/4 speed.
Until they get the server issues sorted out, I'll wait on the online play part of this game. :(
Damnit Elsa, say it ain't so. I was already super bummed that I couldn't get into a single game of FP last night due to major connection issues. I was hoping everything would be better tonight.
I'll be attending everything in the line-up. If anyone's interested, I might play some Red Faction: Guerrilla or Wipeout HD Fury at 10pm.
Other than the online issues I've heard about, Fat Princess is a lot of fun. I'm sure that people will begin to smart up online, and actually use some strategy in order to win.
Just trying to get my new PS3 to work. Got it exchanged today, and now I have to format it's hard drive, which is the same harddrive, just changed out. Damnit. It's going to be a long night...
Fat Princess went surprisingly well. I had no trouble at all getting in. :)
Zippyduda: Sorry about not speaking in that first CTF game. You sounded really frustrated, but I was playing with headphones in a quiet house. I don't know everyone else's excuses, though!
Hey Zyr! Yeah, it did go surprisingly well!... and Zippy... you know I come with a mic (and I know how to use it! LOL!)
Yeah, that was the first online game I've managed to play and there was little if any lag, so it seemed to work fine. Hard to get used to the L2 for talking though (would seem easier to just use R3 like many other games do). I'm still figuring stuff out... but it's definitely fun!
Killzone was fun. Its nice to hear "damn you Corak" a bunch of times in a match. I would have joined a little earlier but I was in a longer match and had 5 turret kills, I'm trying to get my engineer badges so I didn't want to quit and lose it, 1 more 5 turret kill match and I'm done with that one. Being an engineer is a little more fun than it was originally. I'm getting used to 1 shot kills in tight corners, have someone start shooting at me with an assault rifle only to pump once and blow them away too.
Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?

HAhahaha! Awesome! It was worth the wait.
This blog made you win my Bill Cosby award:
I'm gonna celebrate by eating more Tiger Nuts this FNF. Mmmm, bacon and cheese...
Also, I'm gonna try Fat Princess again. Hopefully I can get in a team without idiots that don't know what to do.
Wait wut?
Anyways, KillBlue Princess for me.
Where's jimbo? Haven't seen him on the blazblue in a while.
I beg to differ. I luvs the KZ2 FNF. I always go up a few hundred to a thousand in rank playing with others just from DTOID.
@ Video
I'm in for a Fat Princess Monday Midnight Massacre. I'm in for Fat Princess any night of the week.

And it's kinda hard to stop them from killing you WHEN THEY ARE KILLING ME AS WELL.

Lol the first thing I went on was the credits, then customise, then the story Haven't been online yet though.
Can someone message me when the Killzone and Fat Princess rooms go up please? :) Thank you.
Also, yeah Jimbo's back, he's online.

There was no lag just the odd can't-pick-up-an-object glitch and most of our team being AI was very unfair.

Funny, I tried a different PSN account, and I fared a bit better.
I'll be bloggin about it soon..NVGR however, I just feel the need to bitch...it's keepin me from my games....
