where the hell are the PS3 RPGS???
seamonkey420 | 2:18 PM on 12.04.2008 26 comments

seriously?? where the heck are they?

i grew up on RPGs and have been pretty psyched for some next-gen RPGs but so far have not found any worth my time.

i'm not untold legends fan; button mashing annoys me; i'm more of a FF-ish rpger.

white knight may be my money game but thats not until late dec/early jan 09.

so, any good PS3 RPG suggestions? or am i stuck w/some PS2 RPG classics to hold me over?

Folklore is fun and pretty as hell. GO PICK IT UP! :D

Buy a 360.

I hear Eternal Sonata was alright, you might wanna give that a go.

But if you want new RPGs right now... you might wanna think about getting a 360 or sticking with PS2 games (The Persona series is really really good after all).

Ya, I heard that Folklore is pretty good, but that is all I heard of. Also, Disgaea 3 is supposed to be good if you like tactical RPG's, unlike me.
Timmeh's Destructoid Blog
Probably the same place as the GOOD 360 RPGs (with a couple of exceptions).

Better keep your PS2 handy.

The more appropriate question seems to be "WHERE THE HELL IS THE SHIFT KEY?"

Where the hell are the forums???

There in your MOM!

OH, YABURNT!
blehman's Destructoid Blog
Technically, THEY'RE in your mom bd.

Fuck, I should know better. Damn my drive-by grammar.

Valkyria Chronicles?

hahah!!! that was fun! i admit i always lol at 'your mom' jokes. :P

i think i may give Valkria Chronicles a try.

as for the 360; no thank you. a waste of space in my entertainment center since it doesn't do blu-ray.

Buy a PS2.

No but seriously. I've got no less than 9 unfinished RPG's collecting dust. I love 'em very much but I guess the online functions of the PS3 make it harder to go back to them.
Niero's Destructoid Blog
Amen, brother. There's Last Remnant incoming -- hopefully they have the sense to fix all the glitches.

Buy a 360.

@Blehman

Technically it could be both. If he was looking at Seamonkey's mom at the time he could mean that they are right there in his mom.
Naim Master's Destructoid Blog
Valkirya , Disgaea 3 , Eternal Sonata , and for all the "buy a 360" the 360 definetively has more RPGs , but the PS3 ones have better overral better ... *the only 360 RPG I envy is Tales ...*

And at least you have White Knight Story to look forward to. Damn you Level 5 and your sony bias!
braulio09's Destructoid Blog
@ Arrested Developer

Then, that would require a comma.

"There, in your mom!"

or maybe even:

"There! In your mom!"

Now to the point: Folklore and Valkyria Chronicles are pretty much it (Disgaea doesn't seem your type). Don't try Eternal Sonata, it's incredibly boring and repetitive.
Qraze's Destructoid Blog
white kight will be amazing.
SakuChan's Destructoid Blog
Gotta wait.
They'll come but it'll take some time. Remember the PS3 is still "new" and look how long the PS2 was out to have all those RPGs. I feel the same way you do, though. :|
seamonkey420's Destructoid Blog
yup.. decided i'd go out and get Persona4 instead since my PS3 is a backward compatible one. :)

hopefully that will hold me over for a while until White Knight makes it out! :)

thanks everyone!
