Well not really upgrades mostly but stuff that would be pretty damn fun.

For any class with a shotgun.

A sawed off shotgun, a little less distance but more damage.

For Pyro

Hanging around corners, Pyro's can be nearly as tricky as spies, how about adding this to their bag. A water balloon filled with gasoline or napalm. Toss it on an enemy then light them up or wait for them to fire a shot and light themselves.

For the Scout

I can't think of anything better than a better bat, preferably one with sharp objects imbedded in it.

For the Engineer

I've heard many people talk about how great it would be to have some sort of manual control on Sentry Guns so if you suspect a camo'd spy walking up to it they'd get a face full of shells. Perhaps some sort of paint gun of the ionic variety, you point, it shoots. Maybe some variety where you shoot the target and it leaves a trace that marks it for a while, making it a target for any friendly Sentry.

For the Soldier

Speaking of painting, how about giving the Soldier something a little smarter. The Rocket Launcher from Half-Life 2 is a great example. Fire a rocket into the air, let it dance for a bit before bringing it down on someones head.

I don't know who, Demo maybe?

Smoke bombs would help conceal or confuse a group of enemies.

Definitely for Demo

Landmines, preferably in a launcher of some sort, fire it, let it dig in, guy comes around a corner only to turn into kibble.

For the Spy

Why sap, when you can hack? You put the hacking device on an enemy Sentry and let the havoc run free as the enemies try to reclaim or destroy the rogue Sentry.

For the Sniper

Crossbow, that is all.

For the Heavy
BIGGER GUNS TO KILL PUNY BABY MEN!!!!!

The Scout's shotgun/scatter gun is already too strong. It is annoyingly strong. But the sawed-off shotgun would suck for the heavy. No good idea for him.

Pyro bombs...might be interesting but that is just grenades and they wanted to do away with them.

What about a baseball to throw at people or a baseball that he can hit with his bat into people.

Soldier can't have HL2 rocket launcher cause in the commentary they said how they wanted each character's weapons to be unique and HL2 is not unique to him.

The paint gun idea is sweet but...what if you don't hit anyone and it hits a wall, will the gun keep shooting the wall? Remote control could be cool, maybe...

Mines = Sticky bombs, unelss you mean proximity but they are still too similar. Smokre Grenades are a bit more like it, but wouldn't seem as useful since it can't hurt.

The only way I could see the Spy hack work is if you had to do pipe work ala BioShock to hack it and that would be obvious or extreme. Maybe some sort of voice recorder or video of what's going on? That way you can SPY on them?

Sniper...enhanced scope?

Heavy...moar ammo, less trouble?

I hope they get creative with it. I can think of a lot of obvious ideas, but they may not be as fun.

Pretty much what Blindside said. These ideas are not good.
