rufug | 3:03 PM on 06.11.2007 2 comments

If you are a big Apple fan, here is something to have fun with until the release of the iPhone (besides licking your...mac book), on the WWDC07, Steve Jobs said that Safari growing was an important factor to apple, they really want their browser to get in the "game", so their newest idea is to release Safari for Windows, both XP and VISTA, you can participate in the public BETA for Windows here I made a screencast to show you how its working (eh...its a BETA...and its windows..eh) but i don't have it yet...so shut up and wait for it (i'll edit later...)

Bizarro culture (i mean the comic book character...thingy)
rufug | 10:35 PM on 06.09.2007 5 comments

Bizarro is a comic book character, he's basically a clone, completly "oposite" to the original Superman. This means it talks like a retard, since he'way of speaking is "backwards"-like, for instance, instead of "Hello" he says "goodbye" meaning "hello" and viceversa. Yeah...i know, he also has the oposite powers to supes, he has unlike Kent's laser vision he has freezing vision and unlike superman's freeze breath he has fire breath (yeah...). Here's the wikipedia version of what i just wrote:

Bizarro is a fictional character, a doppelgänger of DC Comics’ Superman. Created by writer Otto Binder and artist George Papp, he first appeared in Superboy #68 (October 1958).

Due to a somewhat disjointed continuity, several versions of Bizarro have appeared in DC comic books, all of them inversions of Superman with gray or chalk-white skin, a twisted sense of logic which typically manifests as a superficial "opposite" of anything Superman would do or say and a resultant speech pattern ("Me am going to kill you" would mean "I will save you" in Bizarro speech). Due to his imperfections, Bizarro is frequently a foe of Superman, but sometimes finds himself in the role of hero (in this case, an anti-hero).
It has been suggested by both comic book fans and anthropologists that the Bizarro character, who is the opposite of Superman and all he stands for, was a metaphor for the Soviet Union at a time when Superman was seen as the embodiment of the United States in the 1950s.

Now i've posted these because, apparently a new animated movie on Superman is comming out, that has Bizarro as one of the main villains, a new arc in the superman continuity is going to be released featuring Bizarro, and the latest episode of Smallville shows Bizarro at the end of the season (as a main antagonist for that episode's finale)CLICK HERE TO SEE THE APPEARANCE OF BIZARRO IN SMALLVILLE
Bizarro has been used in comedy shows a lot too, mainly in the Seinfield episode of the "BIZARRO WORLD"(when Elaine is in the apartment of the Bizarro Jerry we can see a little superman Bizarro figure by the door)and in the SEALAB 2021 "BIZARRO"episode.
And their bizarro planet is square...yeah.

Free iPod Games and Kill Bill's Browser...switch to firefox!
rufug | 6:17 PM on 06.08.2007 4 comments

Games released and available to buy for your iPod in the iTunes store are not exactly cheap...(well most of them are 0.99), plus the games that are sold can be played online, in flash form, and even available to embed in your website (or blog...WUM!wtf?), how ever if you won a 5G ipod or a 5.5G ipod (this are the new clip ipod shuffle, the metallic colors ipod nano and the 80GB-whatever GB iPod video), you can download them and play the in your iPod for free (well only in video iPods), in this link, all you need to do is donwload the firmware of your iPod, the "iPod wizard" software, and the games. I all the games up and running in my iPod so i can guarantee its safe to install the games (just check the firmware is right), all the instructions to load the games are in the website.

This websiteis one of the reasons why i use firefox, KILL BILL'S BROWSER are 13 pretty goof reasons on why to switch to Firefox and leave IE to rott in hell, i specially like reason number eight: MOZILLA HAS NEVER MADE A TALKING CLIP. And if you are willing to upload a button to your website to link a firefox donwload you can earn some money. Go check it out...or...DIE. Happy holidays (?)

JOOST Won't give me anime...
rufug | 3:07 PM on 06.08.2007 6 comments

Well, i got an invite for JOOST, the service apparently created by the SKYPE operators, that gives you free, online, TV SHOWS, whole episodes from various channels in the U.S (or Canada...or somethin...), using P2P technology (i think...i read it somewhere), and it has been making me happy because i can watch at any hour of the day one of my favorite shows in the world: WONDER SHOWZEN, i love it.
I started to preach on Joost, worship for joost, and then it happened...i went to the channel catalog, and i found a channel called "GONG", the description says its basically a channel 100% ANIME, and i $·%&! love anime!...when i tried to add GONG into my channels, it woudn't play anything, i looked it up on the Joost site, and it says it will only play on the f"%%5ng land of the free (the U.S...) because of legal restrictions of copyright.

This has frustarted contsantly my desire to watch shows only shown in the U.S through online streaming tv, like ADULT SWIM FIX, or the ABC THINGY or...yeah. I'm looking for a solution to this, leave a comment if you know anyway to watch online tv outside the U.S. And if you want a JOOST invite comment on that too.
