Why gamer girlfriends deserve unlimited love *updated*
roleypolinde | 10:52 PM on 12.13.2007 14 comments

It is little things like getting homemade gifts like these that make me really truly love my girl:

The prince (and his offscreen Katamari) was a gift when she visited on a trip and the Weighted Companion Cube was my christmas gift (what a way to do christmas on a budget!) Pure love

UPDATE upon seeing this photo, she took it upon herself to caption it for lulz.

So that's how that Prince papercraft looks when it's done...

Every time I try the papercraft, I get horrible bleeding wounds.

Paper is stupid.

You should fear the asians and their superior papercraft skills

She filled a jar with tiny paper stars and hears for my birthday, there must have been a few hundred of them!!!

For the record, pure love can be shared with your Cube and your Loved Ones if proper measures are taken

Having had a gamer gf previously (very single at the moment) I would have to say that the only potentially bad thing is that THEY STEAL YOUR TURN!! =O Get two of every console, quickly! =D

Come, now, glipe. Sharing is the whole reason to have a gamer boyfriend or girlfriend.

I've found, unless you ask permission beforehand, the best idea is to either play a multiplayer game with your time together, or swap out playing a single player game. And before you protest, I say "ask permission" not because you have to, but to be polite. Say you're two thirds the way through Half-Life 2, and you want to get a couple more hours in, but it's "doing stuff together night", then just say, "Hey, you wanna cuddle and watch me finish Half-Life 2? I'm really close to the end."

And roleypolinde, those gifts are awesome. Nice work on her part!

PS: I've never heard the word papercraft before, but I'm already disliking it as much as "gift" being used as a verb, "plushie", and "blog".

@Koobert: I'm totally in agreement with what you're saying. I was just having a bit of a laugh! ;) Good ideas though, thank you! Especially the cuddling while you finish a game, though the proximity of a girlfriend cuddling me while I played always distracted me in the nicest possible manner. ;) Asking permission, allotting time, going multiplayer, these are all really good things: Take note boyfriends!

I actually enjoy watching people play games anyway, so I never minded lying around while my gf levelled up. =)
