I used Visa gift cards for online purchases til I got my own credit card from my dad. Works just like the mythical PSN card would~
Yeah, it's bizarre those things are so hard to find. I saw them months ago back at my PX and nowhere else since.
They have them here at the PX in Korea. A LOT of them actually.
They even have the weird cash-cards for Habbo Hotel and some other online avatar service o.O
"while places like Blockbuster and 7-11 won't be getting them in the next couple of months"
You mean they WILL be getting them in the next couple of months.
Also, wall of text.
Well I only posted this because it seems like most people don't even know that gift cards will work with the PSN. When I posted help at the PS3 boards, most people were like "maybe they will work!!". Plus I thought they couldn't be used for digital goods. As for the Blockbuster/7-11 thing, I thought it was implied; maybe I should carefully word my sentences next time.
I have a couple CCs but there's no way I'm entering them into PSN.
I've used a disposable (aka rechargeable) card so far. Put about $100 in. I don't recommend buying $25 cards though because you have to pay an additional fee of $2.50-8 on top of the value of the card to activate it. So unless you're doing it in a large amount it's a bad value.
Like you said though, PSN cards will be available at 7-Eleven, BlockBuster & RiteAid (all of which are national chains w/ stores everywhere). So that's the route I'll be going when my $100 account credit is depleted.
